I am a professional opera singer, tenor. When I am not on stage I have a passion for teaching. I have a degree in music teaching and opera studies. That gives me the experience needed both in the practice room and performance space.

- How much do you charge?
At the student's home: 50£ an hour / 40£ half an hour
At thome: 45£ an hour / 35£ half an hour
At the student's home: 35£ an hour / 25£ half an hour
At the studio: 40£ an hour / 30£ half an hour
- Where do you teach?
I teach at students' homes anywhere in London Z1-Z3. If the student doesn't have a space I am happy to book a studio.
- When are you available?
My availability is very flexible. Lessons will be organised to suit your schedule.

I have taught students from 7 to 70 in many different levels.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I have experience in teaching in reputable colleges like the City University of London where I was a guest Singing Teacher, and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where through my Guildhall Fellowship I was a Learning Repertoire Coach. On the other hand, I have experience with children, both privately preparing for the ABRSM, Trinity, degree exams and also as a classroom music teacher in Portugal at Conservatorio de Musica de Coimbra and Conservatorio de Musica David de Sousa da Figueira da Foz. This gives me enough tools to teach students from 7 to 80.
In terms of performance I am a professional opera singer, tenor. I have sung roles for Scottish Opera, Wexford Festival Opera, Opera Holland Park, Grange Park Opera, Buxton Festival Opera, Bermuda Festival and sung in concerts at Royal Festival Hall and Royal Albert Hall.

Leonel Pinheiro was born in Braga, Portugal.
Recent/current roles include Cavaradossi in Tosca with Regents Opera at the Wimbledon International Music Festival, and Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana at Coliseu Micaelense in Azores.
Leonel completed his Degree in Music Teaching (Singing) at University of Aveiro under the tuition of António Salgado and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Concert Singing at Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama with Peter Alexander Wilson, where he took Masterclasses with such names as Malcolm Martineau.
Leonel recently graduated with distinction from the Opera Course at Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he studied with Susan McCulloch. His studies were kindly supported by the Worshipful Company of Saddlers, the Roseberry Scholarship, the Blanch Gertrude Lynch Memorial Scholarship and the Music Students' Hostel Trust.
Through his Guildhall Artist Fellowship, Leonel was a guest teacher of singing at City University of London and a Learning Repertoire Coach at Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Enagements include: Don José Carmen (Mid Wales Opera, Deloite Ignite Festival at the Royal Opera House), Macduff, cover Macbeth (Scottish Opera), Cavaradossi Tosca (Charles Court Opera/Musique Cordiale Festival in Provence), Lucio Otello (Buxton Festival Opera), Alfredo La Traviata (European Chamber Opera/Bangkok Grand Opera, Bermuda Festival/Regents Opera), Gherardo Gianni Schicchi (Opera Holland Park Christine Colllins Young Artists), Luigi Il Tabarro, Samson Samson et Dalila (Grimeborn Opera Festival).
Leonel has been a regular at the Wexford Festival Opera, there he has sung Kozak Maria, Showman A Village Romeo and Juliet Achille di Rosalba/Felice Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze, Gastone La Traviata.
Oratorio highlights include: Royal Festival Hall debut as the tenor soloist in Mozart's Requiem alongside the English Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonia Chorus, Handel's Messiah, José Maria Vitier's Misa Cubana, Orff's Carmina Burana, Charpentier's Te Deum and Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle.
