I take advantage of new technologies. Teaching with technology.I use blended learning, flipping the classroom, learning by teaching or encouraging change from passive to fully active learners are significant implements in my teaching/ learning. The atmosphere of my lessons is relaxed, comfortable, and professional. You will do at least 70% of the talking.
I would like to teach students with SEND. I may set homework if necessary. I will help teach children who are struggling with new ways taught on my course, in order to get them to be engaged in our sessions.
My teaching method is student led, I don’t believe in following traditional, structured lessons plans as each child is different and some are visual learners and some are not.
I believe pupils engage best with literature when they feel their ideas are valued. It is an expressive subject and I always encourage my pupils to explore the contextual influences that shaped the creation of texts as well as the texts themselves. Of course, I also offer extensive expertise in close reading which allows my pupils to flourish in exam conditions.
I am a 2nd year student at the University of York studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics offering lessons to students from primary school to GCSE level in Mathematics, English and the Sciences. Usually I will assess how they are working currently before devising a personalised study approach to help the student work smarter and not harder.
I am tutoring whilst studying for an English Literature Degree at York St.John University. I am most experienced with the English Language & Literature GCSE mark schemes but I am also comfortable tutoring for 11+ exams. I am willing to travel and/or teach online.

All children are given a free initial assessment. If you decide to take up the tuition sessions, an individual learning programme is designed based on the outcomes of the assessment and the needs of the child.
I want to ensure that each student is engaged by exploring a pupil's unique learning style and tailoring methods towards them, ensuring materials are interesting and relevant.
I tailor my teaching to my students individual needs. As a teacher of young children I engage the students through creative activities that support their learning in the core subjects as well as exploring the world around them. I use differentiation to support each child's strengths and areas of development.
I have a passion for seeing progress in my students, but more than this, if the tutor is passionate it helps the student learn! My teaching style is relaxed but structured, first discovering what areas are weakest (whether through lack of confidence or confusion on the subject) and from there to help build confidence in the student so that they can see their improvement and become independent...
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who gets a lot of satisfaction from helping children to achieve their potential. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach all primary school subjects; my subject specialisms are maths and science. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have an Honours degree in Zoology and am a qualified primary school teacher.
My name is Luise and I am a current English Literature graduate and GCSE English Intervention Support Worker from Leeds.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? As an undergraduate at Leeds University I study Aviation Technology with Pilot studies and have disciplines in Maths, Chemistry and Physics to A-level (and degree) standard. - How much do you charge? I would be happy to give a free introductory lesson to see how we get on and to introduce us both to the material. After that I would charge very competitive rates.
Ultimately, I believe that every student is capable of success in English Literature exams, however I also recognise that success relies on adherence to exam specifications.
