I am animated and passionate about teaching. For the younger child I use lots of songs and visual aids, making their learning fun. The older child will be taught through lots of repetition and practice. If preparing for exams, sample questions are also used.
I engage with clients individually and, with them, discover what their requirements are. Focusing on solutions, I work through what they see as issues or barriers to their progression and begin to identify how these barriers can be overcome. Every person is different so how people overcome barriers and work through issues will vary from person to person.
Instructional, encouraging pupils to develop strong sense of confidence in own ability. Emphasis on "over-learning" to ensure learning becomes embedded.

Lovely to meet you and welcome to my profile for teaching English. My students in the past have come to me with different needs and interests. I believe in approaching every student as an individual, discussing your needs and creating a plan for how best to meet them as we work together.
I base my classes on your individual needs. The first lesson is free so we can discuss your level of English and the most important topics for you to learn. Together, we set goals for your studies. I then plan English lessons lessons to help you enjoy learning and achieve your goals.
My lesson structure is centred around different approaches depending on the student as not all resources work for everyone to the same degree. I do however, emphasise the importance of including the correct points in answers to obtain marks, and centre my teaching on not only understanding of the subject, but targeting learning as required; be that exam questions, essay writing etc at any level.
I base my classes on question practice, as i believe this is a great way to not only understand the subject, but also make the most of the class time to solve any problems which could be holding students back. I break each topic down into easily understood notes and diagrams, as each student has a different learning style, and it is important to find this early on.
Lesson structure includes notes in a simple but effective manner, highlighting the key points and techniques for effective exam technique and time-efficient learning. Main focus is on question practice, to obtain maximum marks available, so resources clearly emphasise this aspect.
