I like to start my lessons with an unseen extract of my choosing, and then guide the student through it. The aim is to have an open discussion in which their ideas hold as much weight as my own.
My teaching method is catered to each student whilst some students may prefer a more visual approach others may respond more to practical methods of teaching. I base my lessons on what the student is struggling with so that it is most effective for the student.

I am a practicing artist and illustrator who has previously tutored painting courses and life drawing classes. Teaching all levels of art from hobbiest to Master's Degree. I think art and illustration is best taught with a pencil or brush in hand with conversation about theories and techniques. Review of work, both your own and other artist's is also very important.
I make lessons fun and relevant. Eg I taught a child to read and we decorated biscuits with a sound that he was struggling with using an icing pen.
I teach by finding out strengths and weaknesses of the student, to identify which areas need more work on and also which areas they will ace. Then over a few lessons I will plan to go through certain questions to test the students ability.
I have been a Secondary Science class room teacher for 8 years now, teaching across all ages and abilities in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I enjoy producing my own resources to supplement the individual needs of the pupils I teach as well as the use of past exam paper questions.

The teaching methods that I apply depend on the students. My approach is student-centered and I develop lessons and tutorials based upon the learning needs of the student(s) I am working with. I use diverse teaching approaches and use a range of learning materials including digital, visual and audio.
I like to teach using life science textbook and activity book which really engages the student and helps them to understand and remember complex topics. Personally this method helped me understand lectures better and how to answer exam questions.
Teaching each that the student needs to know in the most efficient way.

I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience of teaching children in all ages. I have taught in Year 2 for 7 years and have strong experience in preparing children for KS1 SAT's tests and in passing the end of KS1 phonics screening. I believe that it is essential for children to have confidence and a high self esteem in order to thrive in school.
My teaching method is to suit individual learning styles. Introducing the subject and learning objectives. Interactive and independent learning. Assessment.
I approach each topic one by one each lesson depending on the confidence of the student and I will use visual learning and also sit down with students to have 1 to 1 feedback and test them at regular intervals.
I believe my approach would be to try and pin point a student's struggling points and give them attention. By working through examples and providing walkthroughs on the process. Making sure to progress at the speed of the individual. I don't think there is 1 way to teach everyone. But by seeing what is most productive for each and taking it from there.

I teach lessons tailored to the preferred learning styles of the students, differentiated if teaching a group of pupils. I prefer teaching to mastery rather than rote learning to exams although I understand when there is a need for such.
To teach GCSE level and below. I believe the best way to learn maths is by practice therefore for teaching methods I would preferably teach a mathod to calculate the correct answer and then move on to practice questions in order to know how to apply said method to any given situation.
I like to vary between my teaching methods which means addressing different types of learners whether they be auditory or visual learners.

I am a great believer that a student learns, and performs, better in a relaxed environment. When I draw I usually have my pad on my knee whilst sitting in my armchair and my pencils at my side. That is how I work best. I am aware that every individual will have their own comfortable method and I think that it is important to allow each student to use their own "comfort zone" during my lessons.
I'm a college student currently studying A levels in maths, physics and chemistry. I have a passion for working in schools alongside primary school children.
