I tend to tailor the class to the individual, working out what areas need improvement, as in my own personal experience people can be put off areas they find difficult and will avoid them. By helping the student break down the problem into sizeable chunks it will make it seem more accessible. I will also assist with revision techniques for upcoming exams.
I teach all areas of Biology at all levels. I can go over basic concepts, or focus on specific areas you are having difficulties with. I can also help with homework, assignments, exam preparation, statistics, and anything else you like.
My teaching methodology is as follows - prior to formal lessons, I would like to arrange a pre-lesson meeting with both student and parent. This will help me ascertain which areas the student feels they need help with. I can also discuss with parents their goals for their child. Future lesson plans will be based on this meeting, so that they are individually tailored.
For GCSE & A-Levels, I teach the way I studied myself - take the syllabus from the qualification provider's website, and make sure each and every point is understood. I like to make use of interactive teaching methods, including the use of videos, games, and powerpoints to aid in understanding.
I teach biological medicine, molecular biology, cell biology, cytogenetics, and genetics; I teach medical laboratory sciences as well. I can say I have an expertise in hematology and cancer biology. I won an international prize for my research on breast cancer pharmacogenomics. I can teach all medicine related biological sciences, and industrial biology.
I tutor Science/Biology up to A-levels. I have extensive knowledge in these subjects and a unique creative way of approaching learning methods. For example, I use diagrams and outlines and like drawing to make things visual and easy to remember. I tutor Spanish as I am a native Spanish speaker and have experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
I like to start broad then get into the nitty gritty. It’s always important to set learning objectives and evaluate if they have been met.
My teaching method is interactive and fun as I try to figure out which areas you have difficulties in , I will use diagrams to help explain different topics to students and will help students to understand information given rather than memorise it.
I try to teach through fun activities that help boring information stuck in your head. I also go over past papers to see how to hit the correct criteria for answering exam questions.

Queen's Masters student offering lessons to both undergraduate and school students. Can provide detailed lessons on any topic you are having difficulty with and provide clear and concise notes to further your understanding of the subject at hand. Casual teaching methods designed to walk you through the topics at hand.
I can give lessons up to degree level, helping with any questions and explanations that the student has. The lesson would be based and structured on the requirements of the individual students, to make sure they achieve their academic goals.
I prefer giving more importance to simplifying the subject and making it easily understandable. I love taking black board lectures and use power points only where there is a need of showing pictures and videos for understanding. To me the class room should be a place for more interaction and mutual learning.
I like to break things down and re-build them gradually; I believe that a student must understand the basics in order to learn the more intricate details of a subject such as Science.
I approach each topic by teaching the basis of the subject then proceed to the more complex content when the essentials are understood. I believe that learning a new topic or enhancing current knowledge is more enjoyable when you make it fun while obtaining information.
Hello! I am currently a postgraduate student of Molecular Pathology of Cancer at Queen's University Belfast. I will be graduating in December 2019, and till then I am hoping to offer tutoring in Biology at GCSE and A-Levels. I can also offer tutoring for undergraduate students in molecular biology, cellular biology, genetics and related fields.
I think the best way to learn is to be engaged, reading to a child will not help them learn but making the subject exciting and relatable makes the whole process easier!
My classes are based on making the students understand the basic concepts with the help of charts, books and interactions.
Go through individual topic notes and do example questions and then past paper questions, followed by exam technique and full past papers.
Each topic is broken into small, simple and understandable chunks of information. From there we can build upon more detail until you're fully clued into the picture. My aim is to make things fun, as I find the student learns better when they actually enjoy the topic! I can also help with exam technique and study techniques in order to extract the best grades from this experience.
My teaching methods would be to target the topics causing any difficulty and try and simplify the content in order for the student to understand it clearly and be able to tackle practice question before moving onto the more difficult aspects and questions.
