Hello! I am currently a postgraduate student of Molecular Pathology of Cancer at Queen's University Belfast. I will be graduating in December 2019, and till then I am hoping to offer tutoring in Biology at GCSE and A-Levels. I can also offer tutoring for undergraduate students in molecular biology, cellular biology, genetics and related fields.
I teach all areas of Biology at all levels. I can go over basic concepts, or focus on specific areas you are having difficulties with. I can also help with homework, assignments, exam preparation, statistics, and anything else you like.
I teach biological medicine, molecular biology, cell biology, cytogenetics, and genetics; I teach medical laboratory sciences as well. I can say I have an expertise in hematology and cancer biology. I won an international prize for my research on breast cancer pharmacogenomics. I can teach all medicine related biological sciences, and industrial biology.
I tutor Science/Biology up to A-levels. I have extensive knowledge in these subjects and a unique creative way of approaching learning methods. For example, I use diagrams and outlines and like drawing to make things visual and easy to remember. I tutor Spanish as I am a native Spanish speaker and have experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
I like to start broad then get into the nitty gritty. It’s always important to set learning objectives and evaluate if they have been met.
My teaching method is interactive and fun as I try to figure out which areas you have difficulties in , I will use diagrams to help explain different topics to students and will help students to understand information given rather than memorise it.
I try to teach through fun activities that help boring information stuck in your head. I also go over past papers to see how to hit the correct criteria for answering exam questions.
I am a Student Teacher currently undertaking the BEd at St Marys University College, Belfast. My specialisms are Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and Irish Medium Education. I'm a 3rd year Marine Biology student who is very experienced in working with children and teenagers of all ages and mental abilities, including kids with ADD/ADHD and autism. I have As in 4 science GCSEs (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology) and an A in A-Level Biology.
I am friendly and approachable person with a passion for animals and the environment. I graduated in 2016 with a 2:1 in Zoology, and received a 1st on my final year project and dissertation. I am a student of Queen's University Belfast in the final year of my degree, and currently on track for a First Class Honours in Biochemistry with Professional Studies (BSc). I approach each topic by teaching the basis of the subject then proceed to the more complex content when the essentials are understood. I believe that learning a new topic or enhancing current knowledge is more enjoyable when you make it fun while obtaining information.
My classes are based on making the students understand the basic concepts with the help of charts, books and interactions.

My aim is to make things fun, as I find the student learns better when they actually enjoy the topic! I can also help with exam technique and study techniques in order to extract the best grades from this experience.
