I am an MSci Computer Science student at Kings College London in my penultimate year and have done an internship on front end web development previously. I give lessons to primary/secondary school kids to develop their programming skills by teaching them the basics of CSS and HTML and working first hand on web pages to demonstrate how it all works.
I have syllabus to follow. I teach according to syllabus and time to spend on each chapter. I give examples and ask student to make some program for each lesson I teach and ask question to make sure student learnt or not.
I believe that a hands on experience is necessary when teaching one to program. I will first explain the theory behind the concepts and then get them to practice it themselves (a computer would be necessary for this).
I train senior management in IT management and other subjects. Have over 18 years of solid experience in a variety of industries and have international exposure. I have trained over 500+ senior management staff. I am able to offer lessons from A levels and above. My tutoring methodology will be based on your current levels, target levels and devising a learning plan.
My goal is to teach you by explaining principles and helping you apply them in practice and assist you in developing an analytical mindset that will give you the fundamentals to solve any programming problems. My moto is "learning by doing". I give lessons from beginners to intermediate levels of programming.
I ensure I gain a rapport with the tutee in order for them to feel at ease whilst learning. It shouldn't be a daunting experience and I feel the peak of learning is when you are most relaxed. I will never rush a pupil; everyone is different with different learning styles and thus will relay concepts in different ways from various angles to ensure concepts are understood.
Throughout my years of studying, I have found the best way to study is to learn a topic, going over aspects in detail, attempt a test, revise the test and go over areas where marks were lost, taking another test after this to ensure complete understanding of a topic.
I am a PhD student at Queen Mary University of London since 2015. I have taught programming in the lab for Java, Database system, Cloud Computing, Big Data. I tailor my classes to the student and course being taught. I regularly evaluate both my own and my staffs' teaching to ensure that we are using the most effective pedagogical strategies for our students for the best possible outcomes for all students. This may include visual, aural methods as well as utilising web and app based tools.
My teaching method is that of collaboration - I enjoy working with students as a team to solve complex problems, by which the student tends to learn more. Helping university students with their year one coursework really enhanced my skills.
My teaching methodology has a very heavy emphasis on getting to know you, to understand where you are, and your goals - once established we'll put in a plan of development and work together to achieve your goals. I like to be interactive with my students, I don't like to just be talking for the whole lessons. I believe in student engagement and how that is essential for a proper understanding of the material. A lesson would typically be a section of me explaining the material followed by a Q&A section.
I tailor my lessons to the individual's ability based on the topics they feel weakest in to help them improve and surpass the standards their expectations. I have spent the last six years teaching at The Learning Hub, in addition, I am currently a mentor for students on the Engineering and Mathematics STEM enrichment course at Imperial College.
I'm a software developer, part time kids entertainer who recently decided to move into the teaching world. I hold Bachelor's and Master's and I really look forward to teaching the young generation all these coding principles as well as the programming fundamentals that will allow them to gain solid knowledge in computer programming.
Till now I have been teaching by sending 30 to 90 Tutorials as Microsoft Word document and responding to learner response/exercise. I offer one-to-one on Skype. I can publish a website for that if it is preferred.
I always believe that thinking and practicing are the keys to learning computer science. My teaching method is guiding students towards the correct answer so that they think, and asking them to write everything down to that they remember. Students who learn with me will gain plenty of computing knowledge as well as how to study computing - the later is usually more important.
I will teach a student till he/she clearly understand the subject. This is achieved by teaching and testing the knowledge and correcting again. Also I promise to try my best to make a student qualified and understand the subject properly.
I use illustration and dot point to describe flow of information in a lesson, examples throughout any presentation or lecture setting. I've achieved Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering and a Masters in Systems Engineering. I like to coach students through excercises, asking leading questions to encourage learning.
4 years experience as Director of Academic Studies for a private I.T. training institute. I have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office including VBA coding (creating macros); Database design and development (Access); I can deliver a set syllabus (ECDL or ITQ - formerly CLAiT) or tailor lessons for personal aims.
My Teaching is an experimental-based approach. I teach according to the computer program and student can learn in Matlab in a computer system experimentally. However, I consider several lessons and sessions and I consider several levels of teaching including elementary, advance.
i am sunil bhattarai from nepal bt i am recently living in poland. i used to teach computer science in nepal for secondary level at school.in my point of view, in my experience in teaching, students should be taught in a friendly mannure so that they can ask to teacher without any hesitation. we should be strict also bt in some constant.
I make complex topics simple. I teach everything from scratch. I motivate students to learn by doing. I course teaching speed is directly proportional to the grasping power of the student. I have students who have repeatedly come and contacted me.
I offer Face to Face classes and I can use TeamViewer or any other technology you prefer to use it. In addition we can meet on webex. Many techniques we can use during the teaching. It depends on you and what you would like to do.
