I am an aspiring future teacher with a goal of helping young people improve their skills and knowledge of the English language. I specialise in English literature and creative writing. I am young (17) and have a GCSE A in English Lit and a C in English Language. I write creatively in my spare time and have flexible working hours around my normal working week.
I try to inject fun into learning, I’m patient but always push for the best. Reading is key to learning so I ensure students read and discuss the books.
I analyse and compare the student's writing style with my own. For creative writing, I then explain how I attempt to format my stories & narratives, along with explaining how and why I use certain devices to score high marks.
I prepare children for KS1 SATs tests, but my main aim is to make lessons enjoyable and a positive experience so that they want to learn. Many children feel they cannot do mathematics because they have find class work difficult.
I hold a Master's Degree in Linguistics and have eight years' experience. I teach languages to a range of ages and professions. I have always considered myself a cultural boundary crosser of some sort or another since my youth. As a boundary crosser, I have learned a great deal about other people and the world around me in part due to openness to other cultures.
I always teach for the individual. Whatever their needs I can meet them and guide them towards success and help build their confidence. Several of my previous students have gone on to achieve a grade 6 and above in their GCSEs.
I take a pupil led approach, working with students to identify areas that require attention. I create references to topics that interest my students so they can relate to subject matter and situate it in a broader context. This helps with both subject specific learning and broader critical thinking and academic skills.
Teaching and learning has to be fun and engaging. If learning is not fun and engaging, no learning will take place! We are lucky that we live in a 21st century where technology can be used as a teaching aid, and in my opinion this is crucial for effective learning.
I am happy to give lessons to anyone up to GCSE Level. Generally, I like to work through what a student feels they need help with during the lesson and leave work behind for the student to complete until the next lesson to ensure that they have understood what they were previously struggling with.
I'm a radiography student willing to give lessons to pupils up to GCSE level in english including both reading and writing skills. I'm a kind, happy person that has a positive attitude towards learning and helping others grasp areas that might confuse them. I use both an online and text book approach to teaching using all the tools availble to me to help you learn in the best way.
I am a friendly, patient and highly attentive individual who is educated in English at degree level. I treat every student as an individual, taking a tailored approach to target each tutee's strengths and weaknesses. I prefer lessons to combine reading, writing and listening for maximum understanding. My hours are highly flexible and I am available at short notice.
I'm an undergraduate university student. Currently in my first year of university. I'm taking a foundation year in Computing Technologies with the hope of transferring to a university with a higher standard. My English skills are inrefutable and you'll enjoy.
In terms of my character, I am empathetic and patient with my students and I design lessons around their individual needs. Equally, being a hard-working and determined kind of person, I do my very best to bring about real progress in students and always ensure that I am targeting the areas that need the most help.
Since studying English at degree level, I have completed teacher training and have been teaching English at secondary school level. I have worked with a range of students of all abilities and can cater to individual needs. I am confident teaching to the AQA specification. I currently teach across KS3 and KS4.
I plan all lessons in advance and use a variety of cross curricular methods across all subjects to ensure all students are fully motivated and highly engaged. I endeavour to make learning fun and approachable for all . My lesson structure is well paced to ensure no two lessons are the same.
I specialise in KS3, 4 and 5 as that is what I currently teach and have done for the past 6 years in a secondary school. I would also be happy to tutor primary school aged pupils. I am experienced in differentiating my teaching to support those who are not predicted a pass at GCSE as well as stretching and challenging those who are predicted the highest grades.
I offer lessons one to one as well as in group lessons. I have the latest resources and push my student to the best they can. I’ve been tutoring for 3+ years and the majority of my student pass there 11+ and do well in there exams.
I am a 2.1 BA Creative Writing graduate from the university of Essex. I have previously taught a range of ages in schools and in Thailand. My lesson are fun and varied, I tend to think outside of the box. I explain and teach in a calm and concise manner and I am patient throughout. I would go above and behind to make sure that you feel more confident and knowledgable in that subject.
I believe every child has a capability to reach 100% success, but a classroom situation cannot cater to everyone's needs. No two children are the same and this applies to learning, and through my methods and high experience of working with people and getting an accurate perception of them, I can create a learning programme to fit perfectly to a child.
Hello! I am a recent Oxford English graduate and I tutor students of all ages and abilities. I teach through a mixture of formal guidance in order to enhance understanding curriculum work and fun, creative, unique exercises tailored to the interests of my students.
I have experience in primary secondary and Further Education. Over the last ten years I have concentrated on working with children and young people who find studying difficult. My lessons are individual to the you fun and above all meaningful.
I'm 16 years old, having recently completed my GCSEs with 11 A*s and 3As, whilst attending one of the top 10 grammar schools in the UK. Having passed the 11+ myself with a very high score of 370, I have both the knowledge and patience to be able to work with children right the way through primary school, in preparation for the 11+ Entrance exam.
All lessons are carefully prepared in line with specific exam boards and the needs of the individual. I welcome feedback from pupils so that I can adapt to best suit personal needs. I have a good sense of humour and believe I make sessions engaging but also varied and enjoyable.
I am fresh out of College and I am prepared to offer extra support for GCSE and A-Level students who struggle with spelling, grammar, sentence structures, analysis of texts etc. Instead of planning lessons ahead of time I will let you tell me what you struggle with and what your weaknesses are and then base my lessons off of that information.
I am an Australian (currently non-teaching) teacher of high school English. I generally begin each lesson with an overview of the previous lesson, to highlight any issues that may need readdressing. I then build on that knowledge, before issuing any further tasks to be completed individually.
I approach each topic with patience and perseverance. I use various methods to convey learning materials and will help you to find the method of learning that suits you best.
My teaching method is to provide practical exercises along with many fun paper exercises in order to make the lessons more enjoyable so the student can process the information more accordingly and accurately. My classes will involve a starter to allow the mind to focus on the tasks ahead and then use their favourite activities, films, music e.t.
I'm an English Literature graduate able to give lessons to both young and mature students on a range of topics within both the field of English Literature and the technicalities of the language using a mixture of fun and formal lessons.
I have a unique method of teaching which accounts for all types of learning. I approach every lesson differently, for example not every lesson will be taught behind a desk, some will be outside, some will involve learning from a video or an E - Book as i believe that understanding how a student learns and giving them multiple opportunities to show their knowledge is key.
