My approach towards the drums is relaxed, fun and flexible as to what each pupils wants to get out of the drums - whether that be graded exams, learning their favourite songs or starting a career in the music industry.
I base the majority of my individual sessions upon the RSL Awards Syllabus, a well recognised and established exam board. Reading and rudimentary techniques will be explored as well as being able to groove and improvise to all genres of contemporary music.
I taught myself how to play drums at the age of 16, simply because my friend asked me. I played primarily bass guitar back then, but before long, drumming took over my life! I had always wanted to find a self taught drummer that could pass on their knowledge from their individual experience, because at the end of the day, music is for sharing.
TEACH DRUMS (physical performance, rhythm sight reading, music theory basics, rudiments, coordination, locking to the tempo and playing around the tempo .to then progress to the intermediate levels and up to professional standards. I’d love to see a beginner become a professional drummer and I want to be the right guide to the success.
