My teaching method is to try and work with a student to help them achieve what they want to achieve. I will not prescribe my own musical method and exercise to others, but will instead try to make constructive suggestions based upon what a student's goal is.
My approach to teaching is tailored to the specific style of the student. There are many disparate styles of learning - various ways people receive and retain information - and I believe that a teacher can only be successful if they are sympathetic to the idiosyncrasies of the pupil. I strive to understand the aspirations of the student in order to keep the information relevant.
I am an experienced guitar and music tutor and I give lessons to people of all abilities and backgrounds. Lessons are tailored to a combination of what the student wishes to learn and essential skills needed by all guitarists/musicians. I am a personable and patient tutor who wishes to seeks out the best ways to inspire each individual student.
Depends on what the student wants to learn, usually lessons are better one on one, I can teach anything from basic chords to advance technique.
I am an enthusiastic and experienced tutor offering private lessons in English, geography, and music to all levels, and in other subjects to school level. As a tutor, I am patient, fun, and flexible. Lessons are always driven by the needs of the student - in terms of timetabling, content, and pace - but I am very familiar with the curricula of different courses and subjects.
I give my lessons to anyone looking for 1-1 tuition. I work in the method of 'you need to work hard to where you want to be in life'. I also teach Figurenotes witch is a music reading software.
I base my approach on what the person responds to the best. I generally break things down into easy bite size chunks and make a daunting task seem manageable. I aim to bring lots of enthusiasm and encouragement and to make the sessions fun.
I understand every student is unique, and all learn in their own ways. That is why I will be able to find out how they learn and what they would like to learn, so I can tailor each lesson specifically to them as well as creating plans to make the most of their potential.
Alan designs the guitar sessions and supporting materials around artists, songs and music selected by the student. This builds confidence and understanding and tends to be a more enjoyable way to learn. This approach ensures that each student builds fundamental knowledge (e.g. scales and chords) whilst developing their practical playing skills.
I am very patient and I will focus primarily on discipline during practice sessions so that my students can quickly recognise and eliminate any mistakes by taking everything slowly, I also like to keep a fairly balanced mix between playing and theory as both are very important and theory is often neglected by many guitarists!
I like to treat every student that I teach like a friend i believe that is very important i am more than happy to teach students that are brand new to guitar and people who know how to play guitar but are not quite there yet.
I base my teaching on what songs and which guitarist the student is influenced by, this gives a target that can be worked with the student to achieve. Each lesson is structured as a review of previous material, then rhythm work, lead work, ear training, song learning and performance.
I teach with he individual in mind . So there is no one method that sUits all.
