- Classes Children follow a programme, the starting point being determined by an initial (free) assessment usually carried out in your own home. The basic programme is pure maths - from number recognition to GCSE algebra. It includes topics such as shape, time, measurement, area/perimeter, series, etc. We will also help with applied topics as required.
As a teacher I bring enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication to my classes. When working with students my aim is to boost their confidence, and in turn their ability, through friendly, patient and creative tutoring, which the student finds both enjoyable and challenging.
I use a range of methods including task based lessons and PPP. I can tailor lessons to suit students needs and diagnostic testing. I can create lessons from set supporting material but I have created a great deal of my own lessons using materials that I have collected over the years.
My teaching style is largely based making sure the student is happy and confident whilst learning. I try to make my lessons fun and engaging whilst also offering practical skills and 'insider knowledge' from having completed many English-based qualifications myself.
My overall approach to tutoring heavily relies on strong communication skills, as I believe that any student can receive top grades if they are able to understand what is needed from them and how they can achieve this. It is also important that they feel comfortable in their learning environment, and feel confident that they can reach their targets.
The underpinning basis for my teaching methodology is differentiation-this is particularly important when tutoring a variety of students. I carefully break lessons down into achievable parts to give students confidence, set clear criteria for success, offer examplars wherever possible and try to convey my enthusiasm for my subject.
I have been teaching for five years now and I still love it. I believe that students make the most progress when the lessons are engaging and catered to their needs and individual learning styles. The feedback I give provides clear next steps so that making progress is simple and enjoyable.
I believe in patience with teaching, and consolidation of existing knowledge to build confidence and inquisitiveness - frustration and anxiety make one less likely to want to learn, and addressing this as well as content can make for a happier, more productive student. With regards Literature, I can tailor lessons to the GCSE/A-Level syllabus, and specific areas of concern or interest.
I can guarantee the provision of thorough and stimulating tuition needed to improve any students grades, having experienced and understood first hand what is required to achieve the highest results.
I work professionally as a Bookseller, where I have taken my passion for Literature and continued to develop my knowledge of contemporary and classical texts. My teaching methods are very much based around knowledge sharing: I love discussing and exploring subjects with my students, to inspire creative, idea based learning.
My sole focus is to teach the contents of the curriculum, to help give students a little extra support if they require. I can help with homework, or offer support in any area which needs improvement. Therefore, working with children from the ages of 4-11. Previous lessons have included phonics, reading lessons, maths based lessons and much more.
My teaching method is very collaborative, I like to know what you are struggling with and what you want to focus on, and improve that, as well as using my own knowledge and experience of exams to show you the key skills to focus on to achieve those top marks.
I am young, positive and creative. My teachings methods are thorough but also supportive. I want to make sure that students feel they can express their concerns and targets to me, so that we can work out a plan that best fits them as an individual and get those results. I am passionate about my subject but I also understand what skills are needed to succeed academically.
My method of teaching is to go through relevant chapter and see where the student struggles the most. those particular areas I like to work on more making sure the understand the basics. I like to push students to the best of their abilities and most of make sure that they enjoy learning as that is most important to me.
I approach the topic with conversational questions for practical exercises about the topic. I like to encourage my students to think of how they can use the topic in their daily conversations, so I provide examples and rollplays related to it.

I have experience teaching children with a range of abilities and special educational needs, as well as those who are high flyers and need to be challenged more. I tailor the style and speed of my lessons to each individual to help them get the best out of their time.
My teaching method is to assess the weaker areas of the student. I will then work to improve those, while checking up on all of the other skills needed in English. I am patient with students and can boost their grades in just a few steps.
My teaching method is revise repeat revise.

I will give lessons to primary age children as I am a trained primary school teacher. I know the national curriculum and can prepare any children for the coming school year so they know what to expect. I believe that children benefit from being taught phonics which helps to blend and sound out words.
My background in theatre allows me to tutor in a fun and engaging way. I give lessons up to university level and predominantly work with a dramatic inquiry approach to teaching. I am based in England but work online as it gives students greater access to lessons.
I split my lessons into categories that focus on different aspects of English Literature, for example one lesson could be exploring themes and character, another on essay writing, another on critical analysis, wider reading, comparing texts... However, while I will have structured lesson I would always like to ask the students what it is they feel they need extra help with and want to focus on.
My teaching method revolves around discussing what the student wants to get out of lessons and the reasons behind why they require a tutor. I then try to cater what I teach and how I teach it based on this students particular needs.

My teaching method is fun and interactive. I have found that by first building confidence with English speaking, other areas will following in suit, such as grammar. My lessons will always be progressive in that what we begin to learn will continue until you have a full understanding and then we can continue.
My teaching is a product of first hand experience of being a student and mentoring younger readers. I can apply these experiences to my tutoring, as I understand what does and doesn’t work for students. Our first lesson is completely to ensure you are happy with your tutoring before you continue. This means I can learn about you as an individual and exactly what you wish to gain from tutoring.
I will teach by learning about the student to see what works best for them. This ma not be the same as other students but the lessons are adaptable to each student. I understand that not everyone learns the same way. I have experience with learning difficulties and behaviour issues. They are challenges but I feel once you unlock what helps each child understand they are no different.
My approach is based on exemplary modelling of the specified content, with carefully structured questions and suggestions which enhance the learner's understanding and ability to progress.
