My lessons would be catered to the individual student, focussing on what they have issues with as well as what they excel at. The focus would be on the tasks assigned by school, but we can work on other activities if the student the support.
I am a recent graduate of a degree in BA Middle Eastern Studies, in which I achieved a grade of 2:1 and before this I completed an A-Level in English Literature (B). Through both levels of education, I have achieved a good understanding of how to interpret and analyse difficult texts (i.e novels, poetry) and to also articulate this analyse clearly and concisely for an examiner.
My teaching method is strongly based on the idea that there isn't a one size fits all way of learning. I cater my teaching to the student and adopt different styles depending on what works.
Fundamentally, I believe that all learning should assist in developing the conceptual faculty. As a general rule, I teach through a combination of lecturing and class discussion – usually in the same session.
I approach each of my lessons on English it can include different topics such as: -Poems -creative writing -reading -news report -speaking and listening -writing -grammar, punctuation -full stops -capital letters -moderation texts I can also, do different subjects such A: -maths -science -welsh -welsh baccalaureate -religious studies
Hi,I'm Leyton. I have taught in 5 countries for over 20 years. I use guided Guided discovery teaching method, encouraging the answer to come from the pupil, not me. Sometimes I use command ,to make sure the facts, are understood. I will try to make it fun and informative. As my pupil is learning,I am learning how they understand. To build The knowledge required for their stage.
I am currently studying English Literature and Media at University and would like to share my knowledge with children who would like extra tutoring. My method of learning is all about adapting, adapting to how the person likes to learn about a subject and what ways are best for them. I give basic lesson structure to cover areas needed to achieve success in the subject.
I have an English Literature Degree from Swansea University. I also have experience of teaching English to students of a variety of ages and levels. I am able to help students with reading, writing, literacy, phonics amongst other things. I am very patient, and willing to tailor each lesson around individual students and their needs.
Lessons will be informative, and fun. I will first ask the student (or parent) for their personal aims and desired outcomes for our lessons (e.g. whether we will be working towards a test, exam, oral presentation, coursework, a particular written style or period, dissertation or thesis techniques, or even simply to master a particular text). These will provide the basis for my lesson preparation.
My teaching method begins with first finding out what method works for you individually. We are all unique, we all work at different paces and therefore I find that a teaching session fit to suit you is what really makes the difference. After that, I find out what the key issues you are struggling with, and we build up from there.

I am available to help any students or persons who need help with A-Level English Literature or GCSE level English Language and English Literature or below. I have Grade A’s at A-Level standard and A* at GCSE standard. I am currently studying Politics in Swansea University, however I am free to do sessions for English lessons.
Easy and friendly to talk to. Achieved A* in English Language GCSE and working at an A* level in Literature currently. Creative and will do my very best to help the student achieve the best they possibly can. Available on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) between 8 am and 6 pm.
I aim to give lessons to students between year 7 - 9 in secondary school. I like to see what the student wants to aim for and achieve that and to also work on their weaknesses. I like to move at a good pace that is comfortable with the student.
I currently teach English Intervention in CCYD and find that most pupils tend to miss out on marks from the higher marked questions on Unit 2 and Unit 3.
My teaching style is engaging, fun, informed by the curriculum and relevant. I tutor a whole range of pupils from Year 7 to degree level on a weekly basis and ensure that each session is tailored to your educational needs.
In my English lessons I try to ensure my lessons apply to the child and their interests as well as what the need to learn. Any English help that is needed I will try my best to help the child.
My teaching method is revising with students on a daily basis and going over tasks given from their institution (school).
I am a 19 year old Law student in Reading University. I succeeded in getting between B and A in GCSE and A Levels English literature and language. I also achieved between an A* - A in the Welsh first language GCSE exams. I am fluent in both languages and have been since I was 4. I sat all my exams via Welsh.
I am able to teach up to degree level, but am happy to teach all ages. I am patient, but have a disciplined approach to teaching, with my main goal being to achieve visible results.
I find the most important part of a lesson is having a structure or plan initially. This includes a variety of different activities to facilitate one topic to see which level of learning engages with a particular individual, e.g. independent work, assistance, prompts, games, visual stimuli.
