Being raised in Geneva and going to a French speaking school has made me confident in my ability to give lessons to all who require them. I would base the structure of my lesson around my student's current level in order to give confidence and reaffirm the necessary basics while pushing for a better standard. I believe orality is key and would urge our interactions (face to face, e-mail and so on .
My name is Phoebe Moore and I'm an experienced French speaker. I'm currently in my second year of completing French A level and looking to tutor students to GCSE or A level standard. I can offer 30 or 50 minute lessons over skype or at my home in Norwich.
One of my core principles as a teacher is to make sure my student can notice the improvements made on their language skill after every lesson but most importantly that they enjoy the lessons. I try my hardest to adapt the lesson to every student focusing on a sport or a novel that the student is passionate about.
My teaching method is based on what student wants to learn. It can be more based on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and so on. I check at the beginning of each lesson that the last one was good understand and memorize.

In the past. I have found that children progress more if we base the lessons on a lot of conversational French, so for example I would give them a topic to think about for a couple of minutes, then chat with them about that topic encouraging participation and boosting their confidence in speaking the language (adapting my language to their level).
I am a recent Modern Language Studies graduate from the University of Nottingham, I studied Spanish, french and Portuguese. I grew up in a bilingual household, therefore i could consider myself a native Spanish speaker. I like to adapt to each students particular needs and learning styles, but have most experience with the direct method, in which lessons are only taught in the target language.
