My teaching method has no secret, I treat every of my student differently. I do not believe in the existence of one singular method that can be applied, or forced, on every student since they are all unique. Each can study at their pace, but of course my job is mainly to motivate them in improving in the most efficient way.
I can speak with you in French or play games with you to improve your fluidity … but I can also provide exercices of grammar, of creative writings and more literary content. And of course I can make you discover the French culture and authenticity ! I’m open-minded and I can adapt my courses to your demand. I can help you to improve your French no matter your age or your level.
I am a Swansea University graduate offering tutoring to all ages, up to A-Level standard. Grammar will be key to my teaching, albeit not the focal point as this does not gain fluency! The focus will therefore be on communication and comprehension of the French language.
I am currently trying to become a teacher.
The methodology I’am planning to use is to adapt my lessons to the particular needs of each students. I intend to give lessons based on oral conversation which will help my students getting skills in both oral comprehension and expression. Every class will be prepared at home with written exercices on which our conversations will be based.
I can adapt my teaching methodology depending on what the learners expect from learning French. It can go from academic lessons following a specific program to more playful activities in order to improve one’s French in a fun way.
I like to first understand how the tutee best learns and memorises using different revision techniques. I find that it is most important to have good, clear and concise revision notes, made as soon as possible, so as to not waste time in the future. Those revision notes should suit the tutee's individual learning preferences and made once every concept has been perfectly understood.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach French, Italian and Maths. - Tell me about your qualifications. I am currently studying French and Italian at Swansea university and am hoping to expand my languages to Spanish and/or Chinese within the next few years. I have also studied Maths at A-level. I took my GCSE in Maths a year early and can help students in a similar situation.
I love languages and the opportunities they have given me to travel and communicate with new people. I am patient, hard-working and friendly. I would be happy to support children and parents in learning basic language skills, students studying at GCSE or A level, or adults wishing to develop their language skills for work or pleasure.
I'm a second year French student in Trinity College, Dublin who loves working with and teaching all aspects of the language. I aim to make the classes fun and inclusive using games, pop culture and anything else that interests my student in order to make the lessons both fun and educational.
