I'm very happy to give lessons to GCSE and A level students, particularly A level students who may be interested in applying to Oxbridge. My lessons are flexible to my students, but I prefer to study history by theme, and look at politics primarily through institutions and ideologies.
My teaching method seeks to improve three aspects: Critical Reading Skills, Comprehension, Reasoning and Writing. My listens involve reviewing relevant reading materials (provided by you) or sample texts I provide. We will work on breaking down and analyzing the structure texts. The next aspect will involve writing sample arguments, by learning how to write structured outlines.
My lesson structure would start with an evaluation of a previously written essay with detailed, specific feedback on how the essay could be improved. The lesson would then look at what the student had been studying recently and how an academic approach to their subject can improve their work.
My teaching methodology is highly personalised, and tailored to suit the goals of the individual or group that I'm tutoring. If academic achievement is the object of our sessions, I'm happy to help with essay planning, revision, and increasing general comfort with the material.
I am a Masters' student in History at the University of Cambridge. I specialize in teaching students how to communicate their ideas captivatingly and effectively, in writing and in public speaking. I love all fields of history and have general background in most (with specialized knowledge in Roman history and Modern European history).

I specialise in American History, the English Revolution, Russian Revolution and the Cold War. I focus on ensuring the student knows a vast amount of relevant general knowledge for their subject which then helps with their exam technique when it comes to explanation and analysis.
First, I try to ascertain my student's best way of retaining information: i.e. is he or she a visual, audio, oral or verbal learner? I subsequently base my lessons on their best learning style, while familiarising them with methods best used for exams. I am patient and keen to help people learn. This influences my style of teaching.

Hi my names Rhiannon known as Rhi and I'm a recent university graduate. I like to keep my lessons fun and entertaining playing games related to the subject for young ones and coming up with interesting subjects for the older ones to study.
I tend to teach based on exam syllabus and essay writing in order to prepare students for exams. Naturally, I am flexible to the preferences and goals of the student.
Particularly at GCSE and A Levels, I believe in tailoring my approach based on each student's academic focus (topics specialised) as well as examination needs (form and structure, contextual knowledge, exam technique etc.
I usually teach at a level of the student being taught. I make sure they let me know of there preference of teaching style. I teach my lessons as structured by the AQA gcse module and cover the full curriculum for my subjects taught.
I teach an analytical, source-based, interdisciplinary approach which focus on primary sources and also engages with scholarship. Using knowledge from other subjects enhances understanding and quality even further, such as sociology, politics, languages and art, among others.

I specialise in providing guided readings of primary source documents and teaching through engaging conversations (also known as the Socratic Method). I offer student-focussed content and make good use of multi-media (particularly photographs and documentaries). I also make good use of writing assignments and enjoy using innovative, non-traditional formats for these.
I offer tutoring to students of GCSE level and above. My teaching methodology is based on minimising my input and maximising the student's. I believe History is something fascinating and enriching. My aim is to transmit this enthusiasm to students and give them a desire to learn about it for themselves.
Until recently I was working at Imperial War Museum Duxford, and also at the Shuttleworth Collection as the Education and STEM manager. Put simply my job was to make education as fun, engaging and interactive as it could be.
My preferred method of teaching is one on one, this way giving undivided attention to a student. Approaching the course topic by topic, providing feedback on essays, either in person or through online comments, regarding both content and structure. Group classes are also a service offered, allowing students to not only learn from the tutor but also one-another.
With subjects such as Sociology and the Humanities, I believe being able to visualise theories/timelines/processes is the most beneficial way to learn. For areas such as Maths and Science, I see constant repetition as the best method, and attempt to make this as fun as possible.
I make extensive use of primary sources, drawing upon different forms of media that reflect a range of historical and cultural viewpoints and biases, in order to develop a student's ability to critically analyse and confidently argue their own interpretation of the evidence.
I graduated with a First Class Honours in History from the University of Warwick in June 2016, I specialised in Early Modern History - specifically the period between 1500-1750. I have experience tutoring secondary school students, and AS-Level students.

I am in my final year at the University of Cambridge, studying Human, Social and Political Sciences, and gained the highest mark of my year-group in the International Relations module last year.
