I would prefer to teach A-level and secondary students, mostly because I aim to teach one of these age groups in the future. However I would be open to tutoring degree students whose modules match my areas of expertise.
I aim to inspire students with an ongoing interest in the subject, and to relate historical developments to the condition of the modern world. I focus not on monarchs, state leaders and 'great people' but on how ordinary people can shape history. I also aim to encourage students to challenge their own preconceptions and to explore new ideas.
I am passionate teacher, and I feel that education is a key that opens many doors. There are times when we can be stuck when we are learning, whatever level it may be I can be the key to open the lock to your door.
I approach each topic systematically, making sure that students are aware of the aims of the lesson to prevent any confusion whatsoever.
Lessons will be stimulating and enjoyable, and will concentrate on learning as oppose to simply regurgitating information. The aim of my lessons will be to engage the student in becoming confident and interested enough in the subject to indulge in independent work and research. You can only truly succeed in learning when you are intrigued and want to learn more.
Lessons are well structured and taught through clearly thought out questioning. This way I develop dialogue between myself and each student which reveal levels of understanding allowing me to identify and fill gaps in skill development and knowledge. I use hands on experimental learning whenever possible.
I am a Masters Degree graduate offering passionate and exciting history tuition for A-level and undergraduate degree level students. My main aim is to make sure all lessons are tailored to the student's curriculum, essay or exam to prepare for. Once we know what needs to be tackled, I can deliver engaging lessons that help engage with the sources and the historical characters involved.
Need to pass History? I am currently studying for a degree in Politics and Modern History in the University of Manchester. I specialise in exam preparation, and teach the curriculum though simple and easy to understand methods.
I use different examples to simplify things that may seem confusing, in order to understand easier. It's a very simple but effective way of learning.
I am a University Student currently studying IT Management and Business at the University of Manchester. I want to tutor History because it was my favorite A-Level, in addition to the fact that I am extremely confident in my ability to teach techniques that are guaranteed high grades.
With 1-1 tutoring, my teaching is dictated by the student. I work with my students to pin-point their areas of weakness and their specific goals. I go beyond dry exam requirements and seek to share my passion for history with my students.
My teaching methods are rooted in the needs of my students. I want students to come away from our sessions having learnt something. However, I want them to have fun doing it. This means that my approach is made up of reviewing the syllabus, informal chats, activities and digital teaching resources.
I specialise in improving students' essay writing and grasp of the key elements that facilitate this. I achieve this by helping students analyse different types of essay questions, their respective demands and how to think through and plan their response to each question before writing down their answer.
I am a Czech-English bilingual student. I am currently living in Huddersfield waiting for my university course to start (Law). I have studied advanced world History, Politics and current affairs in the Czech Republic and thanks to my large participation in international student conferences I gained a large international overview of current affairs and problems in the world.
My teaching method can be described as informal but also methodical. I prefer to understand the issues and problems and work from the bottom to work through the topic and ensure we know how answer questions properly for any level.
When you contact me I will run through an initial session to work out what you believe are your weaknesses, and also to chat about how you find the subject and and what you are looking to gain from tutoring sessions.

I am a qualified secondary English and history teacher with five years teaching experience, including as Head of Department. I have a thorough knowledge of new specifications for both subjects across a range of examination boards. I tutor secondary pupils who are wishing to improve in these subjects, including at GCSE level.
My teaching method would be based on a set up that corresponds to an Oxford style tutorial; 1 on 1 communication, analysising contentious issues and recurrent debates within scholarly work and research.
I am a masters student at the University of Manchester. After studying a degree in history I am keen to pass on my skills to younger pupils up to A Level. I have an excellent command of the English level and am happy to teach English upto a GCSE level, and would consider English Langauge A Level tutoring.
I teach students to be critical independent thinkers. Once students master the art of learning, they will have the confidence to explore any concept in the humanities through employing appropriate research strategies. Students learn through documentaries, critical reading exercises, short simple research projects and discussions.
My teaching method is to teach those of all levels and ability how to better understand history, and allow you to build a passion of history so you yourself can drive for knowledge.
