I would prefer to teach A-level and secondary students, mostly because I aim to teach one of these age groups in the future. However I would be open to tutoring degree students whose modules match my areas of expertise.
I aim to inspire students with an ongoing interest in the subject, and to relate historical developments to the condition of the modern world. I focus not on monarchs, state leaders and 'great people' but on how ordinary people can shape history. I also aim to encourage students to challenge their own preconceptions and to explore new ideas.
I think it is essential that students have a full and comprehensive set of notes on each of the curriculum topics in order to reinforce learning and provide a basis for future exam revision. These would also enable students to learn a basic exam structure for their answers, one which can be adapted to a variety of questions.
My tutoring would range from key stage three history up until GCSE, in which i have a good understanding of the various exam boards and how they are structured. I would be willing to consider a/level dependent on areas studied.
I am passionate teacher, and I feel that education is a key that opens many doors. There are times when we can be stuck when we are learning, whatever level it may be I can be the key to open the lock to your door.

Lessons will be stimulating and enjoyable, and will concentrate on learning as oppose to simply regurgitating information. The aim of my lessons will be to engage the student in becoming confident and interested enough in the subject to indulge in independent work and research. You can only truly succeed in learning when you are intrigued and want to learn more.
Lessons are well structured and taught through clearly thought out questioning. This way I develop dialogue between myself and each student which reveal levels of understanding allowing me to identify and fill gaps in skill development and knowledge. I use hands on experimental learning whenever possible.
I am a Masters Degree graduate offering passionate and exciting history tuition for A-level and undergraduate degree level students. Before meeting I would request information regarding content / module topics in order to ensure I am fully informed to teach on the subject. For A-Levels my lessons would each regard a topic / theory to discuss and mind-map, providing minor work to do before the next teaching period.
I use different examples to simplify things that may seem confusing, in order to understand easier. It's a very simple but effective way of learning.
I am a University Student currently studying IT Management and Business at the University of Manchester. I want to tutor History because it was my favorite A-Level, in addition to the fact that I am extremely confident in my ability to teach techniques that are guaranteed high grades.
Inspire, understand and illuminate. Any kid can learn, any kid can listen but not every teacher can teach. I find it crucial to gain an understanding of the pupil in question, as once you understand them, you can teach them.
With 1-1 tutoring, my teaching is dictated by the student. I work with my students to pin-point their areas of weakness and their specific goals. I go beyond dry exam requirements and seek to share my passion for history with my students.
I am a native German speaker and, having studied in the UK for a BA and MA in Classics and Ancient History, I possess excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I am a Czech-English bilingual student. I am currently living in Huddersfield waiting for my university course to start (Law). I have studied advanced world History, Politics and current affairs in the Czech Republic and thanks to my large participation in international student conferences I gained a large international overview of current affairs and problems in the world.
My teaching method can be described as informal but also methodical. I prefer to understand the issues and problems and work from the bottom to work through the topic and ensure we know how answer questions properly for any level.
I adopt a person centred approach and incorporate conversation into the learning experience. I believe that a conversational approach helps to the student to express their thoughts clearly and logically, develops their critical thinking skills and confidence in explaining their ideas and understanding of a particular topic.
