Take Italian lessons at the Leeds Language College
What better place to learn Italian than a college created just for learning languages. The Leeds Language College offers classes to learn Italian, French and Spanish along with helping international students learn English. It is possible to attend classes 20, 15, 9 or 6 hours per week. For classes, there is a minimum class size of 5 students and a maximum of 18, with the target generally being around 14 students per class. There are 4 college terms per year: Winter (January to March), Spring (April to June), Summer (July-September) and Autumn (October-December).
A free level test is carried out at the beginning of the course to guide the future learners of the Italian language as much as possible. You'll have to make an appointment for the thirty-minute test. The results will help the instructors place you in the best class for you, tailored to your skills and needs.
Private lessons are also available and customizable according to the needs of students: level, location, frequency... They range at about £25 per session. Courses for children are also available as an introduction to the language, as well as a la carte courses, very personalized for those wishing to work a particular language point.

The college also offers the possibility to stay and live on campus. Accommodation ranges from about £95-130 per week and can include food as well.
Learn the Italian language with Cactus
The Cactus association offers group evening Italian language courses all over the UK and offers private and corporate language tutoring throughout the world. They have almost 20 years experience and have trained over 150,000 in many different languages. Their teachers' experience and knowledge is well established. In addition, they are all native or bilingual Italian speakers. Their preferred methodology is based on communication and scenarios to help students progress quickly in Italian.
10-week Group Italian evening classes start each semester for 2 hours per week, 630-83 pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays for 190 pounds. It is also possible to request a tutoring class or an individual class if necessary.
If you are not sure of your level, you can take a user-friendly Italian level test online before you book your class to make sure you are enrolling in the best one for you. All levels are represented, from Beginner 1 and 2, Elementary 1 and 2, Intermediate 1 and 2 and so on.
The 10 week evening classes are held at the Cactus school, which is just a short walk from the main train station in Leeds. You can explore the course outlines online and will need to buy a course book beforehand to work through with your teacher each class.
Because learning to speak Italian is best done through oral practice, Cactus classes offer role-playing, videos, songs, with everything adapted to the level of the students to help advance them in Italian vocabulary, grammar and to discover the Italian culture.
Join the Italian Society at the University of Leeds

The Leeds Beckett University offers part-time classes on up to 10 different languages each semester. You can choose from Arabic, Mandarin, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and yes, Italian too. The courses are available at both campuses, Headingley Campus and City Campus.
