Hi, I am Caroline and I am a fully qualified and experienced languages teacher and tutor. I cater for all levels in French, Spanish, German, Italian and Japanese.
I base my classes on learning vocabulary on different fields, I encourage conversation using specific vocabulary, but I also focus on improving writing, listening and speaking skills. I use to give weekly exercises and play games to stimulate the student attention.
I focuse on conversation, sentence structure, listening and comprehension, reading and comprehension and writting! Conversation is the most important part of a language when you travel. It is very important my students to be able to learn conversation in my lessons then when they go to Italy they can speak to native speakers.
I have experience of teaching and tailoring lessons to students of all ages and all levels. A standard lesson includes: grammar content, activities to improve your writing skills, reading comprehension, vocabulary and conversation. I usually make use of different multimedia tools (videos, songs, journals etc.
Repetitio est mater studiorum, in other words: Practice makes perfect... So never give up! - Which subject(s) do you teach? French, Spanish, Italian, Latin, History and RE - Tell me about your qualifications. I hold a degree in French and History and a Teaching qualification in French and Spanish.
I am 26 year old friendly and outgoing medical student at The University of Leeds with a first degree in French and Italian from University College London. I am really passionate about teaching and learning languages, science and mathematics. - Which subject(s) do you teach? French, Italian and Chemistry to GCSE, mathematics and science to KS3. - Tell me about your qualifications.
My teaching method of the language is strongly grammatically oriented, which helps to understand the structure of the language itself and gives tools to decrypt languages in general, along with literature and art suggestions to embrace the culture as well as the language.
I like to talk and understand each personal level. I will also explain habits and dos and don'ts regarding Italian lifestyle and typical day to day experiences. Secondly I like to correct the grammar cause that's a good base to learn every language. and last I will give assignments based on the availability, but if you don't comply I won't tell you off.
I usually plan my lessons as part of courses of 5, 10 or 20 meetings of one hour each (up to two hours, according to the needs). I detail two typologies below, but I am quite flexible - in fact, I do believe firmly that lessons should be always tailored around each specific student. I try to provide all explanations in Italian, and I use a lot of paraphrases.
I can customise any lesson accordingly to the student’s needs.
I am giving one-to-one tailor made lessons, so that you can work on your areas of concern. A standard lesson includes: grammar content, activities to improve your writing skills, reading comprehension, vocabulary and conversation. I usually make use of different multimedia tools (videos, songs, journals etc.
The approaches and the teaching methods may change according to the topic and level of the students involved in the session.
I will help students or pupils of Italian with grammar, vocabulary or pronunciation queries. I started Italian 'ab initio' 6 years ago with an intensive course at Warwick University. I then completed an undergraduate degree in French and Italian with a year in Italy and am currently enrolled on a MA in Interpreting and Translation (both French and Italian) at the University of Leeds.
I am a Russian speaking tutor of the Russian and Italian languages, graduated from Moscow State University (Bachelor and Master degree in Letters). I give lessons to anyone interested in learning Russian and Italian. In teaching, first and foremost, I rely on a text, especially if a student has some basic knowledge of the language.
My teaching method is to approach the language in a serious and entertaining way recognising the good and bad skills of the person who wants to learn. Therefore working on the difficult sides while keeping the more spontaneous ones fresh and exercised.
Ciao, my name is Silvia and I am from Napoli. I have been teaching and tutoring to American and English people for the last 13 years; first in US and here in Leeds. I have experience of teaching and tailoring lessons to students of all ages and all levels. Since I started in US, I have been teaching to kids through songs and games and I have used the "scenario" technique for more advanced students.
I have completed an MA in Italian Literature from Oxford University and have lived in Italy for many years. I am currently teaching yoga, Italian and writing a novel in Leeds. I taught English language for years in Naples, Italy and teach in a fun, instinctive and effective style.
My teaching method is casual and relaxed, I start off with the basics such as verb conjugation and pronunciation. I then work with the pupil to find out what it is that they specifically want to learn in the language and move forwards from there, such as general conversation or more specific vocabulary for different situations.
