I am passionate about helping students in aspects of their study that they find challenging. I am supportive and caring, believing that strong foundations and confidence in the subject being studied are paramount to making progress. I will devise a personalised learning programme that will allow you to meet your learning goals and individual learning styles.
I am an ODP student who also has a degree in Medical Engineering and I am happy to give lessons in maths up to A-Level and chemistry and biology to GCSE standard. I am an easy going tutor who believes in structuring my lessons around each student and how they learn best whether that be from books, practice questions or even quizzes and flaschards.
I'm friendly and patient with my students and always listen carefully to their questions and requests. I can teach any part of the subject that the student is finding particularly difficult, and I always make sure the student is confident with each topic before moving on. I believe that the best way to help someone achieve good results is to make the lessons engaging and memorable.
My teaching method is very practical. I can teach up to A level standard. I will refer directly to the syllabus with use of lot's of past papers and techniques which I used when revising for my own exams. Adapting as I go for each individual student.
I have completed my GCSEs recently and have continued my studies by taking maths, further maths, physics and geography as A levels. Since I’ve recently experienced GCSEs, I know how to follow the specification and how to approach tests with the right attitude. I can also teach primary and secondary education.
I offer an initial maths assessment to ascertain my pupils strengths and weaknesses. Once enrolled I plan a bespoke learning programme. I take each maths concept and break it down in to smaller understandable steps so that my students can grasp and apply their learning before we take the next step.
My teaching method is based upon helping you understand the material being studied, rather than simply memorising or learning content. Understanding is vital as this enables you to adapt to different types of questions which you may encounter in exams. I frequently use past paper or exam style questions in my tutorials as practising questions is the best way to learn in maths and science.
My teaching method would involve starting with understanding which areas in maths the tutee struggles with and working from there. I would teach the necessary skills needed to be able to answer exam style questions. I am hardworking, motivated but also easy to approach, thus I believe I would be successful at tutoring.
I base my methods on patient and methodical approaches in order to truly understand a problem. It is important to tackle a problem one step at a time. Ultimately though, how you wish to learn and what works best is different for everyone. I will take a hands on approach using all available resources to teach giving a wider knowledge of the subject.
I prefer to work through past papers and discover any significant gaps in knowledge to then work through in more detail. If students struggle specifically with certain topics, I like to start on fairly easy questions to first build up confidence in the subject. Especially in subjects like maths, I think confidence makes all the difference.
I truly believe that everyone is able to be successful with mathematics. I design my lessons to build on previous knowledge, increase confidence and head for success. This is tailored to each individual student by analysing past work and mock exams. I am familiar with the Edexcel and AQA curriculum and the recent changes to the GCSE syllabus.
I can teach Physics and Mathematics from anywhere between GCSE and A-levels. My tried and tested method of learning is simple. First understand the fundamental concepts and get a general insight on them, then to attempt questions that challenge the deeper understanding. Then finally, correct the questions and pinpoint the holes in the knowledge and understanding.
I like to build confidence while teaching. Breaking down topics into smaller bitesized chunks to help build up the knowledge from the bottom and fill in any gaps in understanding. In order to improve confidence and performance during school and exams.
I am an 18 year old A-level student who obtained 7A*'s at GCSE level and isn't currently studying Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at A-level. Sutiable for all GCSE students needing either a boost to help them past or some extra help to achieve that A* they are hoping for.
I tutor anyone from primary school upto GCSE level. I try to get to the root of the obstacal that the tutee must over come and help them find not just the answer but the correct and efficient methods to find this answer.
To offer excellent and targeted learning which addresses specific learning challenges that the student is currently facing, To equip students with exam preparation strategies and help them learn techniques that enable them to achieve and succeed in their subjects, To encourage and motivate students to learn by recognising that when they enjoy their subject, they are more likely to experience...
I teach with the pupil in mind and the progress to be made. My teaching incorporates methods suitable for the individual I am working with, scaffolding and extending where necessary and having high expectations. Objectives and outcomes are clear and well defined and alluded to throughout and at the end of the session.
I like to be flexible with my students, understanding that every pupil is different. I will have a preparatory meeting with the student to discuss the best ways to approach the learning, and I am comfortable to approach this from many angles.
My teaching method is heavily focussed on improving topic knowledge. One of my favourite techniques is going through an assignment/test and noting what topics they fell down on. I try to take one topic at a time and push to really master each one, then we would look at the assignment/test again and hopefully make a huge improvement.
I am a university student who has just graduated with a 1st class honours in Medical Engineering and about to start my second degree in Operating Department Practice. I give maths lessons to any student up to and including A-Level. I am patient and easygoing and very adaptable with teaching methods so they suit each student's individual needs and learning style.
Works with students on areas that they struggle with and has completed the GCSE 9-1 Maths specification, so knows what students need to know. Goes through examples with students and is willing to answer questions. Will give students Maths problems to check that they have understood. Can also tutor students for the 11+ exam (Maths/Verbal Reasoning section).
I use mastery methods for teaching to develop a deep understand of the material with extensive problem solving skills.
I would draw upon my experience.
I adapt and tailor lessons to an individual's needs and to their Exam Board, whether A Levels, GCSEs, Secondary School or Common Entrance. We can go through the basics or you can request specific topics, and I’ll help with any areas causing particular difficulty.
I am an organised and patient individual, who helped my daughter with any Maths problems she had up to her GCSES.
I like to have an open lesson with a general plan and a few challenges.
My teaching method is figuring out what is the most troublesome topic and going through step-by-step instruction on how to complete the questions and then practicing
Each topic covered nicely with practical example ,easy way to explanation .
Practice makes perfect and that's especially true for mathematics.
