I base classes on current level of musical ability and musical interests. My teaching style is working with the enthusiasm of the student. I will give you as much as much or as little work as you want to take and in whatever direction you would like to take your learning. I lead with positivity.
In my singing lessons the key objective is to have fun and make meaningful and beautiful music. As your voice is part of you rather than a separate object, sometimes we use metaphors to think about the right techniques and other times we talk about how the anatomy actually works.
My teaching method is very much practical. I take time to learn about the music that my students are already interested in, whilst building their awareness and knowledge of music in order to teach the fundamentals of music, in a fun and inspiring environment.
I think learning music by ear is very important and also that learning music you like is important. It needs to make you WANT to practice and improve. I am here to help you use your voice effectively and safely, so as not to cause any damage to your instrument. I also enjoy helping to boost the confidence that it takes to sing in front of people.
My lessons for adults contain: Heating and preoaratikn of vocal cords, breathing control, knowledge about the operation of the instrument, placement of the body, hearing training, musical theory.
I am very influenced by child directed learning - if a child shows enthusiasm for a song for example, we will learn it even if it takes simplification. I am also influenced by Steiner's approach to learning which is of a similar outlook favouring learning in nature (admittedly tricky in London!).
I give classes from beginners to advanced students in all ages. During the instrument classes I use the methodology that I developed during my time as a teacher in Brazil, where the student learns instrument skills, read music and history and analises at the same time, and for children I base the musicalization classes in Dalkrose and Kodaly methodologies.

I am a year 11 student doing GCSE music.I have studied music from an early age.I have got a grade 5 with distinction in my piano exam and Passed my Music Theory Grade 5 exam with high marks.I would love to help children who want to get started with learning piano and teach them the basics like how to read music and play basic songs and scales with ease.
I believe that, as well as passion for playing, the essentials of piano playing are to have refined playing techniques which is why I like to develop that through extensive scales practice in order to warm up the fingers, with the correct posture and such. Having efficient practice methods is also crucial to properly learning the pieces.

In the past I went to daily music school so my knowledge of music is very broad. I’m playing piano and violin.
