I'm Fraser Murray, I've been teaching music lessons since I was in university as a student mentor across the country. I'm a patient, motivating teacher who can give free form or structured (graded) lessons for music and all forms of guitar.
In my lessons, I create a relaxed atmosphere moving only as fast as the students capabilities. Its important to be taken our your comfort zone with music however, I want to make lessons as fun and interesting as possible for my students.
Tutoring approach: Paramount when I work is accuracy and attention to detail, in order to maximise the results and develop young people’s potential. I believe that a teacher never stops being a student, as we can always learn from our pupils with a mutual exchange of knowledge. Above all, I am so passionate about my art form and absolutely adore what I do.
I have recently moved to Glasgow and am keen to take on new students. I am a 28-year-old University Master’s graduate from Brighton. As of January 2018, I have been playing guitar for over 21 years. I am primarily self-taught although I have, in my time, taken lessons with several well-established instructors and have a Grade 8 certificate from Trinity & Guildhall.

I use the ABSRM standard as a cornerstone for my teaching, and look to prepare students for grade exams by teaching them to how to learn, practice, and execute their set pieces to a high level. In the past my students have consistently achieved honours and distinction marks.
I will always start from the basics depending on the level of the student I am teaching and gradually work my way up as best as I can. I am also learning and I am not perfect but I have the ability to teach you everything you need to know.
I use my own exercises for teaching technique, each student will receive a customized page of exercises designed for warms ups and general technical improvement specifically designed to maximize their rate of progress. I teach in a friendly and relaxed environment to make students feel as comfortable as possible but ensuring that lessons are still constructive.
My teaching method is based on a climbing frame. I feel it is important to have a structure for pupils/ students to follow that allows them to build on their past and current achievements to allow them to continue to improve and grow as a player. I aim to keep lessons fun and interesting and do this by using active learning techniques.
My teaching is based on an interdisciplinary methodology which extends peoples understanding of music. I use technology and improvisation as a main practical tool that helps my students understand more all the theoretical aspects of music. Ι strongly encourage them to compose their own music and express themselves through this highly creative process.
I do not have full experience teaching, although that would be what I want to do in the future. I consider myself nice and open to new experiences, so I would enjoy giving lesson to beginners, to people without a high level of knowledge.

Being a passionate lover and student of music, I love to teach people how to explore themselves and their inherent musicality. I am comfortable with providing tuition individually as well as in groups. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and young people, like myself - be it an absolute beginner, or a more advanced musician. I would be comfortable in working on any genre of music.
I am available to teach anyone whether they just want to start a new hobby or are aspiring musicians. I have an younger brother who plays guitar and piano but gets distracted and frustrated easily and since I have always coached him in practical as well as academic music it means that I have experience in teaching even more difficult students in a fun way.

Teaching is no less an art than it is a skill. I do not have, and hopefully will never have, a certain style of teaching. I believe that this must vary with every single student. My way of teaching depends on each individual because I pay respect to their personal qualities as well as musical abilities.
I teach piano lessons mainly to children, but also some adults. Above all I see learning an instrument as a fun experience, it should be about enjoying the creative process.
My teacher method usually follows one lesson a week per client consisting of an hour, the hour is split half theory/technique and half playing. Very flexible of what genre of songs, will let clients pick at the end of each lesson next weeks song or can use my own selection.
I am a graduate from Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (Czech Republic) where I completed a Post Graduate certificate for Piano Interpretation and Piano Teaching. I just moved to Glasgow to continue my studies at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
My teaching methodology is the direct method. I will achieve success through reinforcement to make sure the student can pass any high school level of music. I will also use rewards as a way to reinforce my students answering correctly.
