Hey! I'm Oliver, 18 years old and I'm studying Music at The University of Birmingham. The most important thing, for me, is that learning is fun. Without a love for music, you can never truly flourish. This is why I make sure to engage students through a variety of activities and I tailor my teaching style to best suit each individual.

My teaching methods depend on my student's needs and abilities. Every student has a unique programme which is usually created after the first lesson. I work with those who want to learn for their own enjoyment, as well as ABRSM/GCSE exams, or any other reasons.
- I am now studying in Birmingham Conservatoire, and I give lessons from beginners to advanced levels. - For beginners to intermediate level I try to incorporate a range of activities in the lesson including singing, aural, sight-reading, and improvisations, to ensure that my pupil is more holistically trained and not restricted to just learning new the music.
I love to teach, and music is my passion. I aim to inculcate a love of music, and general playing ability for all instruments I teach. My specialty is teaching students to sing while playing piano, but I can teach the reading of sheet music for both Tuba and Piano. I can teach students up to distinction level grade 5 theory, and can give vocal coaching.
I am a professional piano and music theory teacher with many years of experience. For young beginners, from age 6 onward,I mostly teach 30-45 minute lessons, whereas for intermediate students I usually prefer to dedicate at least an hour. My teaching method is based on both classical and modern teaching, though I prefer a tailored approach for each pupil.
I am currently working on my Grade 8 and therefore can give lessons for those wishing to start learning the piano and music theory. I can help you towards your first couple of grades. I will be giving lessons at home for an hour each lesson, to be discussed further.
Josh offers instrumental tuition to students of all ages and abilities. Lessons are fun and tailored to the learner's needs, whether that is to pass exams or realise a lifelong ambition to play an instrument.
