My teaching methodology is to link student interests in with the teaching and learning. I believe that learning should be fun for both the tutor and the student or it simply won't happen! I teach years 3 to 7.
I will give lessons to primary age children as I am a trained primary school teacher. I know the national curriculum and can prepare any children for the coming school year so they know what to expect. I believe that children benefit from being taught phonics which helps to blend and sound out words.
I have experience teaching children with a range of abilities and special educational needs, as well as those who are high flyers and need to be challenged more. I tailor the style and speed of my lessons to each individual to help them get the best out of their time.
I have a wealth of teaching experience. I have worked in schools since the age of 21 and have been teaching for eleven years. I specialise in Early Years and Early Childhood studies. I have also mentored many trainee teachers and proof read many assignments. I aim to provide honest and constructive feedback. Within my daily role I teach Reception and Year One children.
My teaching method is flexible depending on how the student would like to learn. I am happy to go through topics at the learners pace and will focus on achieving a full understanding. It is possible for me to also create work sheets as "homework" to further aid the students learning.
My teaching reflects the needs of the student. If it is fun and hands-on you are looking for, I can provide this, but also, if there is a need for exam revision and a more serious tone, I can adapt to this as well. As I have experience in primary schools, as well as teaching English in summer camps and schools abroad, I enjoy finding unique strategies to tailor my teaching to your needs.
- Teaching through games and intellectually stimulating methods. - I create a lesson plan with goals and adjectives. - I am a bubbly interactive social tutor. I am interested in getting to know my pupils in a way that will allow me to identify their strengths and weaknesses so that we can set realistic goals and achieve the desired grades.
I am a nineteen year old Classics student studying at Durham University. I am able to give lessons in English Literature, Language and Classical disciplines from most ages up to undergraduate level. I have great experience in teaching English as my father is an English teacher, and a great passion for the subject; with some poetry published and leaving Sixth-Form with full marks in this A-Level.
As a qualified teacher I have a vast range of pedagogical knowledge and experience in teaching. Therefore I can tailor my lessons to individual needs and make sure to get the best out of the students.
I am passionate about literature, writing and learning. I aim to make these subjects accessible, engaging, and fun. I am new to tutoring but have previously worked as a nanny and a children's bookseller, and feel excited about the opportunity to support students during their studies. I can tutor from GCSE through to A Level.
I use a range of methods including task based lessons and PPP. I can tailor lessons to suit students needs and diagnostic testing. I can create lessons from set supporting material but I have created a great deal of my own lessons using materials that I have collected over the years.
My sole focus is to teach the contents of the curriculum, to help give students a little extra support if they require. I can help with homework, or offer support in any area which needs improvement. Therefore, working with children from the ages of 4-11. Previous lessons have included phonics, reading lessons, maths based lessons and much more.
I am a fully qualified secondary school teacher who always strives to make my tutoring fun and not an extension of the hardworking day you just did at school or college. I have been told by a lot of my students that I am a great teacher and that I make learning fun in an unusual way.
