Hi, my name is Adam. I am a Cambridge graduate, having studied Geography at Gonville & Caius College. The geography course at Cambridge is extremely diverse and broad whilst allowing for a detailed focus on topics of interest.
My teaching method is flash cards. I approach each topic by discussing it with people, then discussing key words.
I will teach in a variety of different ways to match pace and skill set of students who need it
I believe each student has their own way of learning it's just a matter of understanding the pupil. Understanding the pupil, ensuring they are able to trust me extremely important for them to achieve their ideal grades or even higher.
I base my teaching on assessing each child. Firstly I do a series of tests to see what level the child is working at currently, or work with their current school grades. I discuss with parents and child, what is predicted of them and what we can hope to achieve together. I may even construct a timetable, timeframe of what I expect we will cover (from the curriculum) The fun part...
I am 17 and currently studying A level sociology. I hope to tutor people currently studying A level or GCSE sociology, with the following topics: - Education -Family -Crime and deviance -Mass media My lesson structures will most likely depend on the type of learning the student follows (e.g. with pictures, colours, by listening etc.) but the content will come from an AQA exam board.
I have been giving lessons in GCSE Mathematics to a 13 year old student. We sat together and decoded the specification and took each topic, taught the topic to one another, the student was then tested on the topic (tests ranging from easy to difficult) and if the student was comfortable with the topic, we then moved on.
With an extensive family background in teaching, and a passion for history, the social sciences and English language, I am eager to share my knowledge and understanding of these subjects to benefit other students at either GCSE or A level.
My tutoring style is tailored to help focus on areas of limited understanding amongst the curriculum, on a one-to-one level to help my students gain the best mark they can. I expect hard -work and determination, and together we can help increase your chances of getting a good A-Level grade.
- Having finished my degree in psychology and succeeding in achieving a 2:1, I am looking to help other students of psychology to pursue their interest in the subject area. - I have my own creative yet effective approach to studying and understanding study material, that has successfully helped me to achieve an A at A-Level and a 2:1 at degree level.
I understand that every student is different and needs an individualised approach; my approach with pupils has been to identify their weaknesses and devise a structured programme of learning around them. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Subject(s) Taught: GCSE, BTEC First and National, AS and A2 Business Studies GCSE Psychology AS and A2 in Sociology. - Tell me about your qualifications.
Whilst pursuing a self development qualification I discovered my desire to help students enhance the quality of their learning. I am very personable, and can connect with every student to tailor my tutoring to their needs. - Which subject(s) do you teach? GCSE English, A-Level Sociology, Law, Politics - Tell me about your qualifications. I hold LL.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Music at GCSE to Advanced level and Guitar instrumental tuition. I have also spent two years in Barcelona teaching English and I can provide essay and assignment support for Sociology, History, Psychology and other subjects including Media. - Tell me about your qualifications.
My lessons are aimed at students studying GCSE and AS/ A Level Biology. My teaching methods are based very much on individual students preferred learning style, for example if you're a visual learner then lessons can be based around constructing a diagram of a biological mechanism or creating visual cues to help remember sequences.
It is completely flexible to your needs! Whether it be trying to perfect essays to A* level, memorising evaluation points or understanding the theory/concept and more. The lesson structure will focus on your weakest points and your strengths to perfect your performance in the exam. I give lessons to A-level students - focusing on moulding exam techniques to your area of need.
Teaching for me is the best opportunity to share my academic expertise, my life skills and experience. I relish the opportunity to facilitate individuals on their journey of lifelong learning andI guiding students to unearth their potential and innovation. Moreover, allow them to build the skills to introspect so they can carve their pathways into the future.
I tend to teach by asking the students what they think and trying to go from what they know. I think it is important to try to elicit as much as possible from the student, rather than just tell them the answer. I tend to use film and card sorting activities with my students to make the lesson more memorable and/or more student-focused.
My teaching method is to teach each study and then show how individual studies can be put together to answer essay questions. I would teach content according to what exam board the student is part of which will allow all the relevant information to be covered.
I am giving sessions to a level students, GCSE and primary school students. The lesson structure would start with the student explaining where they believe their weakest points are, and then I would help them strengthen their weaker points. The student would lead the lesson.
I base my lessons on what topics the students already know and on how well they now them. I produce my own resources such as work sheets and I would advise the students to make as many notes as they can on theses. After two weeks I would plan a test to see how well they have obtained the information I have given to them in the following lessons.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I am qualified to teach English language and literature and have 11 years experience doing so. I have also taught A-Level Sociology. Working with SEN students as I have for over 10 years, I also have experience with teaching Maths. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have a BA(hons) in English and Sociology.
I'm approachable, so will be willing to assist with any questions. There's no such thing as a stupid question. Will give lessons to GCSE, A-Level and Undergraduate students, as well as Postgraduate students on the LPC. Lessons will be at your own pace, to make sure student understands everything.
My teaching method is all about helping my students figure things out for themselves. I am not there to lecture them, but rather to give them a push in the back in the right direction. I know I have succeeded when I'm not needed any more.
My teaching method is purely dependant upon the child, I will adjust my lessons to accommodate for their learning needs in order to provide the most interactive sessions possible. This will be done by monitoring their confidence and performance in all required areas.
