About Virginia
I have a BA in Interdisciplinary Elementary Education and a Masters in Education. I have six years of teaching experience in both the General Ed and Special Ed setting. I have been the teacher who was so overwhelmed with all of the behaviors and expectations in the classroom that kids have fallen through the cracks. I have also seen students in upper elementary struggle because they never really learned to read and then began to struggle when they were expected to read to learn. Let me help to make sure that doesn't happen to your kid.

I have a masters in Education from Emory & Henry College and six years of teaching experience. I have seen kids fall through the cracks and I have seen them look at a page and it just doesn't make sense. I can help change that using The Science of Reading that takes apart the sounds of a word and puts them back together to see how they work independently and how they team back up to determine how the word breaks into syllables. I am passionate about teaching kids to read as it is a pathway to so many things. It is also so important for a kids to learn to read before they are expected to read to learn.
