About Swithun
I have 4 years' experience as an AQA A-level Economics examiner. I am also a fully qualified teacher and have taught and tutored both children and adults since 2011. My specialisms are A-level Economics and Business Studies but I have also prepared candidates for Oxbridge entry. I have tutored both the domestic and international exam boards for many years including: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, EDUQAS, WJEC, CIE, International Edexcel, IB, Pre-U and SEB. I have tutored online for over 3000 hours and find that for Economics and Business Studies it is as good as in person, if not better, since it is much easier to send model paragraphs and diagrams. I endeavour to make sure my students feel as comfortable as possible and encourage them to ask questions because asking questions is the best way to learn. My sessions are always tailored to the students' individual requirements and are focused around the specific requirements of the exam. Parents often remark that their child is much more confident with the subject following sessions with me. I have also written 195 questions for a Cambridge University Press iGCSE Economics Textbook. I am a father of four and a fully qualified teacher turned full-time private tutor with Enhanced DBS Clearance. I am an enthusiastic tutor who has an excellent track record in helping students achieve, or exceed, their target grades. Finally, I have fibre broadband for an excellent online experience.

Perfect! I highly recommend Swithun, who has been teaching my son A Level Economics for over four months. During this time, my son has progressed from a grade E to a strong C and is now aiming for a B in the upcoming summer exam. Swithun structures each lesson around essay writing and topic coverage, providing detailed feedback after every session.
