About Amelia
I am currently a student at the University of Edinburgh studying French and Russian. I have been studying French for several years including at A level and for the DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue français). When I studied French A level, alongside English Literature and History, I studied French cinema and classic French literature such as Molière as well as learning about French politics, French History and modern day society in France. I would love to help you to improve your French due to my love of the language and my enjoyment for teaching, which has developed through my love of travel such as volunteering in schools in Kenya and teaching them French.

In my lessons we can practise speaking French with each other and improve pronunciation by having conversations about a variety of subjects in the francophone world. This allows you to learn more about French history, politics and culture, such as French music, art, cuisine and literature while improving your speaking skills. As well as speaking lessons, I would also encourage lessons on grammar, reading and writing by taking a laid back and engaging approach through exercises to create an immersive experience. I am happy to focus on anything that you need the most support with whether that is for passing your DELF, GCSE or A level French. Overall, my approach to teaching you French will be engaging, immersive and allows you to enhance your linguistic skills while learning about French culture.
