About Harry

Hello, I’m Harry.

I am a University of Oxford graduate with experience working in Parliament. I want to teach because I love ideas. You will be able to learn how to construct your own view and argue for it.

I believe in giving you the skills and the language to express the change you want to see in the world.

About the lesson

My teaching is centred on one simple principle: I want to teach you how to think, not what to think.

️ A-Level Government & Politics

Support with topics including:

* Political ideologies — Conservatism, Liberalism, Socialism and others
* Political thinkers and political theory
* UK Parliament
* Elections and voting behaviour
* Political participation
* Political parties and contemporary political debates
* Developing evaluation, analysis and balanced political arguments
* Essay planning and exam technique

A-Level Religious Studies, Philosophy & Theology

Particular specialism in Philosophy of Religion, Theology and Moral Philosophy, including:

* Arguments for and against the existence of God
* The problem of evil and suffering
* Religious experience
* Faith and reason
* Moral Philosophy and Ethics
* Free will, responsibility and moral decision-making
* Philosophical and theological thinkers
* Constructing, evaluating and challenging philosophical arguments

My aim is to help students go beyond simply learning information. I want to help them understand arguments, question assumptions, consider alternative perspectives and develop the ability to reason clearly and critically.

Whether you’re preparing for A-Level exams, working on essays, struggling with a particular topic, or looking to deepen your understanding, tuition can be tailored to your individual needs.

Harry has taught me Year 12 politics A Level content, and he is one of the best teachers I have had. He breaks down some difficult concepts so that they were easy to understand and memorable. In end of year exams my grade had improved significantly, and I have been predicted an A*. I am confident that with his continued support I will achieve an A* and he has inspired me to want to study Politics at university.

Harry assisted me with my Politics A Level and helped me to achieve an A*. He is an excellent teacher who listens well and always answers all questions fully and without judgment. I particularly like his presentations in which he covers a whole topic in the right level of depth but without overwhelming you with information. I enjoyed the way that he incorporated discussion of real time political affairs into our lessons as well as covering course content. I could not recommend him more highly.
