My teaching method is to first get an understanding of how well the student understands the subject I am teaching and how well they are able to build concepts, and how well they can actually retain those concepts when i’m pressured situations such as exam conditions. I then make notes of where they are weak and how I can help them, and then when teaching them, I track the progress they are making in order to make sure that my teaching is actually effective.
I am an A level student, looking to tutor students who need help with building concepts in biology, up to and including gcse level. Having achieved a grade 9 in gcse biology and currently studying it at a level, my understanding of what needs to be learnt and how to answer questions according to the mark scheme is more than sufficient, to the extent where I am able to explain it to other people, i.e students that I have tutored as part of my peer mentoring at school.
