About Jessica
I am a sophomore at Liberty University studying English, and I am genuinely one of those people who loves talking to people and making them feel comfortable. I am warm, patient, and easy to be around. I do not take myself too seriously but I do take your progress seriously.
I grew up reading constantly and that love of language stuck with me. Outside of studying I am always working through a new book, usually something classical or a little dark and literary. That passion is real and I think it comes through when I teach.
I spent eight months working at Walt Disney World during my freshman year, which sounds unrelated but honestly shaped a lot of how I interact with people. I got very good at reading what someone needs, making them feel welcome, and staying cheerful even on long days. Those are not small things when you are sitting across from someone who is stressed about their essay or their resume.
I genuinely enjoy helping people. It is not something I do reluctantly. When something finally clicks for a student I find that just as satisfying as getting something right myself. If you are nervous about asking for help, please do not be. That is exactly what I am here for.

I am a Liberty University English major with a 3.3 GPA and a genuine passion for language, literature, and helping people communicate better. My lessons are relaxed, personal, and built around what you actually need rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
I can help with essay writing and structure, grammar and mechanics, reading comprehension, classical and literary fiction, and resume building. Whether you are a student trying to improve your grades, someone preparing for a job application, or just a reader who wants to go deeper into a text, I would love to work with you.
My approach is simple. I figure out where you are struggling, explain things in a way that makes sense to you specifically, and build your confidence as we go. I do not make people feel bad for not knowing something because that is never useful. What I care about is that you leave each session understanding something you did not before.
I am an avid reader of classical literature. Dostoevsky, the Brontës, Tolstoy, Wilde, Dumas. If you are studying any of those authors or that period, I am genuinely in my element. For resume help, I have written and tailored many resumes, and I know how to make your experience sound compelling and honest.
