About Rachel
I have been swimming since I was 6 months old. I have trained with a lot of different coaches and squads over my childhood and since I have finished swimming competitively I am looking forward to passing on the skills they gave me. I am 20 years old and currently in my last year of a Teaching Degree at Griffith University majoring in Secondary HPE and History.

I believe that a good rapport is essential to success between a teacher/coach/tutor and their student/s. Understanding the others goals is beyond important so that both are on the same page and working together instead of against each other.
Lessons will always begin with a warm up to prevent the likelihood of injury and end with a warm down to help move the lactic acid through and out of your muscles. This will lessen the ache in your muscles in the days after your session. Of course, a little bit of ache is a good thing, it means that your muscles have been pushed and your body is going in to make them stronger.
Lessons will most likely be repetitive, I will try my best to shake things up as often as possible but it is the repetition that what will build muscle memory and strength.
If you are looking for competitive training, lessons will be even more repetitive and I do expect a certain level of effort on your part.
