About Maya
I am a first year student at Lancaster University studying psychology, and have recently sat my A-Levels in maths, psychology and geography at the grammar school Blue Coat. I understand how stressful exam season can be and strive to make this as easy and enjoyable as possible for my students. I volunteer to coach football to children with Down syndrome and I am a lacrosse coach, as I really enjoy working with children and watching them grow! My tutoring experience comes from teaching my younger sister and her friends GCSE maths.

Many students struggle with maths due to a lack of confidence and motivation, I’m here to change that! Through continuous encouragement and positive reinforcement, I help to build a strong baseline knowledge and advancement in maths and mathematical confidence.
I realise every student is unique and adapt my teaching style to my students’ personalities and needs. Learning should be fun and lessons will leave you feeling proud and accomplished, with higher grades to top it off!
