I work at a local non-profit organization in Western NY teaching English-as-a-Second-Language to Adult Spanish-speaking students, primarily. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the College at Brockport, SUNY. If you are local, I am completely open to doing one-on-one sessions. My method is primarily immersive. If you hardly know any English at all, that's just fine! I will take you from the very basics of English to becoming a perfectly fluent English speaker.
My typical lesson plan involves short "bursts" of vocabulary, followed by periods of breaks--if you need them! The idea here is to not overwhelm you with so many terms that it becomes impossible to stick to a lesson plan. Although the English language is full of words you don't know yet, I will take you one step at a time, building off of a foundation of basics that will keep you grounded as you build your vocabulary over time.
Although I specifically have most experience teaching adult learners, I also teach children and young adults alike who are motivated to learn English.
