My goal as a teacher has always been to encourage and provide the understanding for my students to discover their own uniqueness as a musician.
I focus primarily on music theory and technique development; I found it very important in order to remember what is learned it must taught through a musical context i.e. songs, etudes... etc. This I find to be a practical application that when it is once learned the knowledge is retained. However, if the student would like to focus on a particular area of learning I will most certainly accommodate them.
My rate is twenty dollars a half hour, if that isn't enough time for you I can extend that to an hour for an extra ten dollars. If at any time if you aren't grasping the information I'm providing during the lesson the last half hour will be free.
If commuting or location is an issue I also offer Skype video lessons for your convenience.
I first started teaching part time in 1999 beginning with a few students and increasing my student base over time. Be it that I was teaching part time I would take time off in order to pursue my artistry & performance. Being busy at the time it unfortunately didn't allow for me to say in touch with my students to see what they went on to accomplish.
