About Alexandra
I am originally from Lyon, France and spent many years tutoring students internationally.
I am objective-centred and will make sure to enable you to achieve your particular endeavour. Whether you are learning French as a hobby, for an exam, or planning a move to a French-speaking country, I will devise an action plan with you based on your level and preferences.
For me, tutoring is not just about my love for teaching, it is about giving students a love for learning and the confidence to realise their potential.

I can teach any age and always tailor lesson plans based on the student and their specific objectives.
I strongly believe fluency is achieved through immersion, and hence put a particular emphasis on speaking abilities before moving on to writing skills. Additionally, I like to contextualise vocabulary learnings by creating a story with the student with new words learnt.
My approach differs from traditional language teaching involving long lists of vocabulary and grammar - I prefer more interaction with the student to allow them to take ownership of their learning. During my lessons, the student will take an active role in shaping the class.
Typically, my lessons range from 1h-1h30, but I am happy to tailor the time based on student needs. I can do home lessons in London or virtually.
