About Kitty
I am a final year student at the University of Birmingham, currently working towards achieving my BMus Music honours degree. I am a first study classical singer at LRSM diploma level, but I also play clarinet, saxophone (tenor) and piano. I am also proficient in composition (contemporary and classical writing). I can provide classical vocal lessons up to diploma level, as well as opera specific tutoring, choral singing and jazz singing. Every singer has a unique voice, and will engage with vocal music differently, therefore I like to offer a free consultation lesson before the first paid lesson so that we can discuss your current experience, get to know your strengths and weaknesses, and then proceed with the best technical exercises and repertoire accordingly. It's also just a great opportunity for me to get to know you and your voice! I try to be an encouraging tutor and not strict; getting my students to engage with and enjoy singing as much as I do is my main objective.
