I highly recommend James as a tennis coach. He is extremely skilled, explains techniques clearly, and brings passion and energy to every session. His patience and constructive feedback help players of all levels improve their game while enjoying the sport. Whether you're a beginner or experienced player, James will help you reach your goals.
James is a very knowledgeable and friendly tennis coach who truly loves the sport! His experience allows him to quickly identify areas for improvement in your game and push you to become a better player. I would highly recommend!
I am in my 40s, self-taught, middle to upper intermediate level player of 10+ years playing experience.
James has helped me to analyse my whole game, identifying strengths and weaknesses. Overall feedback on weaknesses included alot of bad habits that had to be un-done, and development of better technique on one-handed backhand / serve but to name a few areas.
James has essentially elevated my game and he is able to explain concepts very clearly and has a good understanding of technique. Crucially, he is able to understand the issues that I am having and find solutions that work for me. I can ask him anything. He is a very good motivator and lessons with him are always a blast.
I would recommend him without reservation.I would definitely recommend James as a tennis coach. His knowledge of technique, game intelligence and observation of your ‘game’ make James a fantastic coach. You feel that he has a clear understanding of what you’re doing well and the next steps to develop your technique and style!
Very quickly, James was able to identify what would improve my practice and through clear explanations, modelling and coaching he helped me understand and develop more confident and consistent control over my posture and stroke.
I really enjoyed the lessons, which flew by! His enthusiasm and attention to detail built my confidence and understanding.
Through continual feedback encouragement and planned drills that provide repeated opportunity to practise, you get a sense of making steady progress. Jame’s feedback helps you to tweak your practice in a meaningful way that builds to make a significant difference in your style and precision.
I would certainly recommend and take further lessons with James. Seeing the progress within a few sessions makes me curious about the potential progress I could make with further input!
Highly recommended.
I started playing tennis and having Coaching at 61 years old and it was my good fortune to meet James Who was the third coach I had on my journey . He’s very knowledgeable, professional , he makes the lessons interesting and challenging and he’s encouraging and importantly has giving me a love of Tennis. He is the best Coach I have had and I continue to have lessons from himI've had an excellent experience training with James. From the very first session, it was clear that he has a great technical knowledge and passion for the game. His focus on technique and footwork helped me a lot and boosted my confidence. I highly recommend James as an outstanding tennis coach.
I have been attending James’s weekend adult tennis classes, and it's been a great experience. His energy, enthusiasm, and passion make each session engaging and enjoyable. James provides clear instruction, personalised feedback, and a supportive atmosphere, helping players improve at any level.
I highly recommend him for anyone looking to develop their skills while having fun on the court!Coach James, bring boundless energy and enthusiasm to each class, making every session fun and engaging for everyone.
He takes a personalised approach ensures every participant, regardless of skill level, receives relevant guidance and support.
If you're looking to improve your tennis game while enjoying yourself, James is the perfect coach!James is excellent! I feel i have improved 10 fold since I’ve had him as a tutor. His coaching is consistently enthusiastic, thorough and he seems to genuinely love teaching people and passing on his knowledge. I’ve only had him for about 5 weeks but I feel like my confidence and skills have way surpassed what I had expected of myself. He makes the lessons fun and tailored to what we need.
James really knows how to put a class together and to keep the energy and momentum up. I am part of a class of six, and I’ve found James to be highly attuned to the specific topics ways we can improve our game. I enjoy attending my Saturday morning sessions with James… come rain or shine
James is a great coach, good at explaining technique and super encouraging!
James coaches one of my adult group sessions in the park and I so look forward to it every week! He is professional, supportive, and has a keen eye for spotting patterns and habits to help us improve while listening to what the group wants to work on. He also coaches my 8 year-old daughter’s group and he does a excellent job keeping the kids having fun while building fundamentals and is also very warm and patient when she’s not in her finest mood. We both really enjoy ourselves; he’s a lovely person and great tennis coach.
I only got back into playing tennis after a long break half a year ago (and had four coaches since). Before that, though, I used to play three times a week for over fifteen years, did some club and student tennis, and got to experience a vast number of coaches over that time. James is easily one of the best two coaches I’ve ever had: 1) He really knows his stuff when it comes to technique; 2) far from just showing up to feed some balls, he teaches a purposeful programme of development; 3) James is really good at spotting ‘that one thing’ that can really help you if you change it now; 4) in addition to the technical training, he teaches much more tactics, shot selection and positional play than most coaches dealing with recreational players, which I find really interesting; and finally 5) his unbridled love of tennis and enthusiasm for teaching tennis is really infectious! There’s nothing more magical in teaching in than a teacher who isn’t just doing his job, however well, but who clearly wants to be there, want to be doing just this at this moment, and is so very obviously enjoying it hugely. I’d really recommend him highly. (And, for what it’s worth, the progress of our little group over the last few months under his tutelage has been quite something.)
Very friendly, patient tennis coach and really knows what he is teaching! Genuinely has a passion for the sport and this shows in his approach to coaching
