Communication and active engagement with the language and the culture. As I've witnessed in high school, learning a language is often based on excessive grammar lessons and dry vocabulary learning, leading students to lose motivation and real interest for the language. In my classes, I want to make learning French an interactive, fun and immersive experience, introducing you to the language through the culture around it. Discover a different approach to French and get confident in speaking, as well as writing and listening. I am teaching both children and adults and will adapt my methods to your personality, level, and needs. Whether you are interested in freshening up your business French, need help to pass your A-level French exam or just interested in some basics for a holiday, I will be available for classes on a regular or one-off basis.
I am a third year HPE (History Politics and Economics) student at UCL with a passion for all things French and previous tutoring experience. As French is one of the three national languages in my home country Luxembourg, I practically grew up speaking it and giving coaching to my classmates or younger students. Moreover, last year I volunteered at Capital City Academy helping refugee students to successfully pass their French exams.

Growing up in a trilingual environment (Luxembourgish, German, French), I successfully passed my high school exams with a 90/100 and a 80/100 in French (C2 level). After getting accepted at UCL, I moved to London for my three year course and here I am, currently in my final year of HPE. During my last three summer holidays, I undertook internships at the UN in New York, the government, various finance/management companies and a refugee centre in Luxembourg. Working in international environments, combined with my background knowledge from school and university, helped me to acquire the necessary hard and soft skills to excel in efficient tutoring.
I have known Magali for a few years now. We are on the same course at university and I believe she would make an amazing tutor. Not only is she very organised and always striving to achieve the best results, but also she is very friendly, open and always ready to help. Many times she was there to give me a helping hand or explain something that I did not understand in one of our courses. She is attentive to detail, hardworking and responsible. She is a very well-rounded person with a lot of interests and hobbies, so it is often hard to find her sitting still, as she is probably already running off to do something new. She never disappoints, she is always reliable, helpful and very optimistic about life.
I believe that all of those qualities, together with the fact that Magali grew up in a multicultural and trilingual environment and was always in direct contact with the French language, would make her the best tutor one can imagine.
She is great at explaining things and is always eager to take the time to make me understand. Would reccomend her to everyone!
I have known Magali for 3 years now, and not only has her kind and devoted nature been a steadfast form of support during my time at university, but it has also been crucial in the many exploits that she has ventured into during this period.
Having first hand experienced Magali's tutelage skills along side taking a French module at UCL last year, I can only say that it is unsurprising that she is finally taking these skills to a professional platform. Not only was her attention to detail and patience key to fostering a welcoming environment in which to learn French, but it also gave me the confidence to venture on in my study of this new language, completely unafraid to make mistakes along the way.
Magali is a warm, friendly and absolutely funny character and any french lesson with her is sure to be a good mix of academia and fun!
Based on many encounters with Magali, I could not recommend anyone more suitable for teaching French. Her extremely helpful, friendly and approachable manner makes it easy to create an enjoyable learning environment for you. Besides, she is also very talented and patient in explaining different issues.
Magali is a caring, passionate and determined tutor. She always personalises her approach to her tutees and does not stop trying new things until she sees progress!
I’ve known Mag for almost three years now. She is not only a well-organised and responsible person, but also has a great passion in whatever she is doing. She is always on time and on top of schedules. Mag is in particularly talented with languages - being fluent in 4 languages but still striving for more. I believe that she will be a great French tutor.
I know Magali from uni and its been 1 year we have been building a valuable friendship. She is a very lovely, smart, outgoing and organised girl. She just inspires me for the various activities she is been involved to for just being 21. She volunteered, work in UN this summer and can speak fluently many languages. She is one of the most honest and hardworking people I know and she would be an amazing tutor.
