Sessions include discussing commonly asked questions, hints and tips for effective signing and symbol use and how to start using Makaton in everyday situations at home or work.
You will also learn signs and symbols.
The Beginners' Workshop is made up of 4 modules which can be delivered in a number of different ways. For example:
- in 2 days (4 h/day)
- or in 1 day (intensive, 8 hours with half an hour lunch break)
The Entry criteria: Participants must have an interest in early communication skills.
Study materials: You will receive a workshop manual, which include the signs and symbols that you have learned. You will also be given a Certificate of attendence.
