About Ieva
I have tutored a couple of students before, most of them being beginners in Mandarin. With these students, I usually start from the very basics, such as how to introduce themselves and basic conversation. From my personal experience, I've realised that student's achievements highly depends on setting of goals in the beginning and how much effort they put into learning.

I lived in China for 10 years and considered fluent Chinese (Mandarin) speaker. For final exams, I received 94% Mandarin B in the International Baccalaureate Programme. I give lessons to all levels of Mandarin speakers; anyone is welcomed to join.
The tutoring structure can vary from the specific person I am tutoring. Together with the tutee, I come up with the plan and how the tutoring session will be structured. This highly depends on what level of Mandarin the tutee is and what they would like to learn. I like to have interactions between the tutee and me, where the tutee is encouraged to put in effort into learning as well.
