About François
I am a French engineer, who used to design aircraft engines in Paris. Now I live in Vancouver and I will be thrilled to share my language and experience with you or your child! Through my studies and work experience, I have always liked tutoring students, interns or new employees. Teaching French, math or technical skills, the results came fast! Adaptability, communication and professionalism are my skills, helping me to create lessons just right for you!

French is my native language and I am fluent in English. But the most important thing is how the student learns and how the person wants to make progress! My job is to keep you motivated, going step by step depending on your learning rituals, one day after another! I am here to guide you through this path. My tools? It depends on the age, hobbies and habits of the student : - Stories, books, comics, cartoons for a child. - Lyrics, tv shows, movies, podcasts, the news for a teenager/adult. - Writing notes, repeating words for all. In each case, the student needs to : - Master the basics. - Learn thematic vocabulary. - Practice scenario / real life situations. J’ai hâte de commencer!

Perfect! First lesson went well. Francois did live notes on everything we covered so I could both hear and see it all. That saved me from making my own notes or trying to commit everything to memory. Enabled me to relax and learn.
Perfect! François is a fantastic teacher, he is patient, takes his time to listen to one’s needs and goals, and makes the class enjoyable and very productive, I highly recommend him.
Perfect! Francois was very accommodating in meeting us in a location that was more easily accessible to us. He has a very calm demeanor and spoke with kindness and patience to my son, who is very shy. We hope to have more lessons with Francois in the future.

François is a great teacher, patient and adaptable to your needs. I really recommend him!
François would make a great teacher! I have the chance to regularly exchange with him. He has a patient nature, which is important in my opinion when teaching. He would be great at conveying calmness and confidence to students, which is very important ahead of exams and when trying to improve on a specific topic.
Francois also has a strong engineering background, graduated from one of the best aerospace engineering school in Europe and worked in an innovative, large aerospace company for the past 10 years, in Research and Development. I believe he is more than adequate to teach in the scientific field and would be able to bring his rich experience on top of it, to support his teaching with good examples and stories that would give further meaning to a student and even further motivationWhat sets François apart is his remarkable patience and unwavering calm. He is used to teaching as he also often gives tennis lessons. He also has the ability to break down complex concepts (and French has plenty of complex rules!) into digestible pieces.
All of these qualities are, in my opinion, what makes François a great teacher.As a friend, I highly recommend François as a teacher. He is a French native speaker, very patient, calm, open minded, committed and really fun !
