About Marina
I have been working in the school system for the past four and a half years, but I have been teaching for almost four total years of that time. In addition, I have observed almost 200 hours of a high school chemistry course and taught at least five eighth-grade chemistry lessons. I also have my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and am less than a semester from finishing my Master's degree. I have tutored three students so far, all of whom passed the course and standardized summative assessment, such as an SOL test and cumulative final exam.

My lessons can be used and taught to high school chemistry students, dual-enrollment students, AP students, or college-level General Chemistry parts one and two students. I will always work with people who are putting forth effort. I am willing to teach more than chemistry, such as study habits and organization tactics. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I enjoy hands-on learning and using manipulatives as a way to represent chemistry and some of the more difficult topics. I also know the best way to learn is to do, which is what I encourage my students to do.
