About Joe
I am a Student at Bangor University learning Marine Biology and Zoology (BSc Hons) currently doing tmy first year. I have in the past assisted with helping students prepare for exams and assignments up to GCSE level learn Biology. I am relatively new to tutoring but have been told in the past by my teachers and peers (along with my mother who has been teaching for 30 years) that I have a vast knowledge of Biology. My fresh experience with the subjects being taught will allow me to both teach the student the ways in which to both remember information along with most importantly knowing how to answer questions correctly.

I think the best way of learning is to make a subject interesting, therefore gaining vast knowledge, but also finding it enjoyable. The best ways to do this is by using various different activities therefore making sure the sessions are different every week. A formula I use is to make a starter activity (Quiz and Recap), followed by an introduction to a subject (analysing videos or text and taking notes) and then finally finding methods of retaining information (test questions, quick fire question and discussion). As this is how we learn at school it means that the student will be more receptive to the modern way of teaching and answering exam questions.
