Methodology

I am enthusiastic & adaptable with over 13 years of teaching experience. I strive to create a stimulating & encouraging atmosphere in each lesson and to make lessons fun & to foster meaningful relationships with students & parents.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach Recorder, from beginner to advanced, flute beginner to advanced. Music Theory from beginner to advanced. Harpsichord beginner and intermediate. Piano beginner to intermediate.

I have BMus (Hons)

- How much do you charge?

Recorder (grade 6 upwards) - £30/ hour
Recorder (grade 1 - 5). - £25/ hour
Flute (grade 1 - 5) - £25 / hour
Flute (grade 6 upwards) - £30 / hour
Piano - £ 20/ hour

- Where do you teach?

I am happy to travel to students' houses or to teach at my own place. I invite all parents to sit in on lessons at any time.

- When are you available?

At the moment I am available anytime.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach all ages and levels, in the past I have taught ages ranging from 7 - 65.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

I prepare students for Associated board and Trinity exams

I am professionally qualified with over 17 years' experience. I offer fun and friendly lessons for children and adults, whether you're a complete beginner, an advanced student, or returning to learn after a break.

- How much do you charge?

I offer a first lesson at half price and a discount if more than one member of the family are learning.

- Where do you teach?

I live in Warrington and I travel all around the borough. I am happy to come to your house. If you do not have a piano I can bring a large keyboard for the lesson.

- When are you available?

I am available Mondays and Tuesdays all day.
Wednesdays, Thursday, Fridays in the evening.
All day Saturdays and Sundays.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I can teach any age and level.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

I work towards ABRSM exams, GCSE and A Level Music

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

I can teach through skype / FaceTime

- Do you have a personal message for students?

I am enthusiastic about all of my lessons and I aim to create a positive learning environment for all of my students. Learning to play a musical instrument should be an enjoyable activity and not a chore. Activities designed to build musical skills and confidence and to inspire enjoyment and laughter are an important feature of my tuition style. I am currently on the Staff of Stockport Recorder College. I also teach privately accross Manchester and Warrington.

I have experience of working with all ages. I have experience of teaching aural training for ABRSM exams and I am currently tutoring a GCSE student in Music Theory. I hold a BMus degree in which my main instrument was the recorder.

I have a full current DBS.

I trained at Cork School of Music under Laoise O'Brien.
