About Calix
My lessons bring out the power of data and its ability to tell meaningful stories. Together, we explore how numbers reveal patterns, trends, and insights hidden in everyday information. I focus on building your confidence in data interpretation so you can read and understand information with clarity. You’ll learn to create and analyse graphs that make data come alive visually. We also dive into statistical analysis to understand relationships and make informed conclusions.
Each lesson includes real-world datasets and research examples that connect mathematics to real experiences. This hands-on approach helps you develop strong quantitative reasoning skills while keeping learning practical and enjoyable. I take special care to guide learners who may feel unsure about maths or data, turning hesitation into understanding. I’m a Maths tutor with over 8 years of experience and an MSc in Statistics. My work focuses on connecting mathematical problem-solving with the world of creative arts and design. In my lessons, we explore how parametric equations can generate stunning patterns and dynamic generative art. I also teach Fourier analysis to reveal how mathematics shapes sound synthesis and digital audio. Tessellations and geometric patterns are another exciting part of my teaching, blending structure with creativity.
I guide students in applying these mathematical ideas through hands-on projects using tools like Processing and Blender. These platforms allow us to visualise abstract equations and turn them into living, moving art. My approach encourages experimentation, curiosity, and discovery, making each lesson both structured and imaginative. I enjoy helping learners of all levels bridge the gap between creativity and computation. Together, we explore how formulas evolve into forms, and how equations give rise to expression.
