About Michal
I hold a B.A. in English literature from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, and a M.A. in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Between the years of 2012 - 2019, I worked in different states in Mexico both as an ESL teacher and a middle school education coordinator.
I am a bilingual educator with seven years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting, both remote and in-person.
I am committed to forming an inclusive and equitable learning environment and inspiring curiosity and critical thinking in students.

My lessons are interactive, encouraging full participation from students in order to solidify their grasp of weekly vocabulary while increasing their confidence in speaking Spanish in a conversational environment. Through project-based lessons, I encourage students to connect to the material in ways that utilize their creative potential in the realms of visual art, creative writing, and music. Advanced lessons focus on reading and aural comprehension of more complex texts, including short stories and novels.
