About Maya
I always believe it is important to understand the material, there is no such thing as a “stupid question” and there are many ways to explain and understand the same topic. I will work with you to help understand your learning style and adjust the tutoring session accordingly.
It's important to me that my students not only memorize the subject but also understand it and can apply it to different situations.

My lessons are interactive, informative and easy to follow.
I use a variety of visual supports to help maximize understanding (visual cues, videos, etc.), as well as practical skill development.
My target audience is mostly grades 4-12 and I teach according to Canadian Curriculum.
I am also a native speaker in Russian and can translate and support teaching of the English language.
My experience lies in helping children and teens with ADHD, ASD and learning difficulties understand the material better and thrive in the learning environment
