  • Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I speak Arabic fluently because it is my native language. Growing up in Egypt, I was immersed in the language from a young age, which laid the foundation for my fluency.
  • Can you name a living, historical, or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

I believe that the Prophet Muhammad is the emblematic representative of the Arabic language's culture. His life and teachings have significantly contributed to the importance and spread of the Arabic language, especially in the context of Islam.
  • Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition, or behavior in the language that you particularly like?

One of the things I particularly like about Arabic is that it is a language of literature and art. Every word has a root and a meaning that often reflects the true essence of things. Additionally, Arabic culture is known for its hospitality, kindness, and contentment, which are values deeply embedded in the language.
  • Why does speaking this language matter to you

Speaking Arabic matters to me for two main reasons. First, it is the gateway to studying Islam, the second-largest religion in the world. Second, it is the official language of 28 countries, making it a significant means of communication for a large portion of the world's population.
  • What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

The main difficulty in learning Arabic is the lack of educational audio resources. While there are many audio materials available, they are not specifically designed for educational purposes, making it hard for learners to determine their suitability. As a teacher, I address this issue by using artificial intelligence to generate appropriate reading and listening materials tailored to my students' levels.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

I didn't enjoy Arabic during middle school due to my teacher at the time. However, my interest in the language was rekindled during university through a friend. This eventually led me to pursue a career in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, a path I have come to love.
  • How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Traveling has greatly enhanced my knowledge of different Arabic dialects, such as the Gulf and Levantine dialects. This exposure has not only broadened my understanding of the language but also helped me become a more effective and versatile teacher.
  • What makes you a Superprof in language?

What makes me a Superprof in language is my flexibility in choosing the right curriculum and plan for my students. I incorporate artificial intelligence applications into my teaching to create engaging and effective learning experiences. I also love teaching through games and organizing conversation clubs for my students from different nationalities to practice the language with each other.
