About Corena

Hello this is Corena. I have experience in teaching English in South Korea. I loved teaching English and earned my TEFL certificate while I was there. The students there were loving learning English even though it was something challenging. I love talking to students and helping them improve their grammar, pronunciation, and listening skills. I have lots of patience! I have done some traveling to Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and also lived in South Korea. I first started as a teacher in Sunday school back in 2003 and then I left for the USA to work as a summer camp counselor in 2004. I love cooking food, esp dumplings and noodles. I've played the clarinet - let me know if you're playing instruments when we meet each other. I look forward to meeting you and teaching you. See you soon. :-)

I don’t usually write recommendations, but when it comes to Hafida, it’s honestly the least I can do...

Corena is a very kind, nice, and competent teacher. She is very friendly and helpful, always following the wishes of her students. After three months, I have significantly improved my skills and will definitely continue. Highly recommended for both beginners and advanced learners! Karina is very competent as a specialist and pleasant as a person! She always bases her lessons on the students' desires and does everything to make them feel comfortable and confident during classes. My level has noticeably improved over the past three months, and I will definitely continue my lessons. I highly recommend her for both beginners and those who already have a certain level of language proficiency!
