Master's graduate in Classics tutoring Latin, Ancient Greek, and Classical History (literature, textual analysis, philosophy)

Methodology

I'm a Canadian Master's graduate in Classics pursuing a PhD. Whether you're preparing for university or currently in university, I can help you succeed by teaching you how to write, read, and think critically.

I can also help you with some more specific skills such as learning Latin, Ancient Greek, or Classical History; this includes other skills such as textual analysis, literature reviews, and other related topics.

I am patient, empathetic, and comfortable to work with. My lessons will be designed around your specific needs, and I am committed to helping you succeed.

Background

I've been giving lessons for approximately seven years and have taught one-on-one classes or classes as large as twenty-five students. I have also given presentations to groups as large as one hundred people!

My students have always improved as a result of working with me, because I don't give up on them! Even if you feel like quitting, I won't quit on you.

As someone who has watched Ryan grow from the beginning, I know that he has always been a calm and patient individual that enjoys the opportunity to share his knowledge. Ryan has always believed that trust and honesty is the foundation of any relationship and as such, begins his tutoring using that fundamental premise. Many of Ryan's students have commented on how he has been a favourite of theirs and how his approach to teaching enabled them to grow and learn quickly. His students formed strong and lasting bonds long after, Ryan had been their teacher or tutor.

Ryan has always invested a great amount of effort into the preparation of his lessons and is continually perfecting his courses to provide a very positive and enjoyable experience for his students. Many have commented that they didn't want to move to new courses because they enjoyed his classes so much. Each and every student has enjoyed Ryan's many classes and teachings.

As a senior undergraduate student and as a Masters student, Ryan has been sought after to help and mentor his peers and juniors. His professors have always given him high praise in his efforts and continue to comment on his passion for teaching, for sharing his knowledge willingly in a calm, responsible, professional and enlightening manner.

I know any student fortunate to have Ryan as a tutor will benefit greatly from his thorough investment in their education. They will feel valued and respected throughout the process and, will likely reflect after they have moved forward in their education that, Ryan was pivotal in their success.
