About David
Olá
My name is David, and I am a passionate, native Portuguese teacher from Brazil. With a strong background in education and over 7 years of experience, I combine structured, clear communication with a relaxed, encouraging teaching style.
Whether you are learning Portuguese to travel, connect with native speakers, or advance your career in Latin America or Brazil, my goal is to help you build real-world confidence from day one. Having worked in professional and international settings, I understand how crucial it is to communicate clearly and appropriately, whether you need casual, everyday dynamic conversation or polished language for corporate environments.
Outside of teaching, I love language learning, project strategy, and exploring different cultures.
I can’t wait to meet you and support your journey toward fluency! :)

Here is what we can focus on together:
1. General & Conversational Portuguese (Fluency & Daily Life)
Real-Life Topics: Discuss culture, travel, current events, hobbies, and everyday situations.
Pronunciation & Natural Flow: Learn idiomatic expressions, reduction patterns, and natural phrasing used by native speakers.
Confidence Building: Overcome hesitation and get comfortable expressing complex thoughts freely.
2. Business Portuguese (Professional & Corporate Focus)
Workplace Communication: Master professional vocabulary, formal email writing, and meeting dynamics.
Interviews & Presentations: Prepare for job interviews, pitch presentations, or negotiations in Portuguese.
Cultural Nuances: Understand Brazilian business etiquette, professional tone, and workplace interactions.

Perfect! I've been practicing my Portuguese conversational skills with David for about two months. His classes are structured around different conversational topics, which he guides you through by asking different questions. It has been super helpful for me and my goals. David is also very kind and understanding about my goals as well (:
Perfect! I only had one lesson so far but I must say David is a very friendly, kind, patient and professional teacher. I am definitely going to continue the lessons with him.

I’ve been taking online Portuguese class with David for the past two years (86 classes!) and have benefited tremendously.
David structures the classes around my needs, teaching verb conjugations and emphasizing new vocabulary and reading material that is relevant to my field of work (Life Sciences).
